Hello Dear Student,

No, Caste Certificate is not required for Open/UR/General Category Students.

A Caste Certificate is needed by only Reserved Category Students to Claim Reservation Benefits.

Reservation benefits is primarily given to the students of following groups: Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Other Backward Classes (Non Creamy layer) (OBC NCL), EWS (Economical Weaker Section) and PwD (Person with Disability).
