Should I try to score better in may mat ..or look for a college based on current score ?

It depends on your capability if you can score better in May MAT then I would also suggest you to reappear again as you can not expect very good colleges with this score.

I am pretty sure i will score better as it was my first attempt and am from non- maths background ( biology ) . But am concerned about the limited time and seats available in colleges after may exam . And thanks helping me out .
