Well, basing upon your rank in JEE MAINS, you may not get admission into NITs in core branches like mechanical engineering , electrical engineering ,computer science engineering, etc. But still you can give it a try at the time of counseling and it's better to apply for colleges in your own home state so that the chances of getting admission are high.
