Hello aspirant,
No, you cannot become an Ophthalmologist without pursuing MBBS. The only way to become an Ophthalmologist is by completing 5-year MBBS course and giving the NEET PG exam and opt for post graduate degree such as an MS or MD. However, you can pursue various courses related to Opthalmology without pursuing MBBS, such as BSc in Ophthalmic Techniques, B Optom, Diploma in Ophthalmic Assistant, etc.
You can also visit the following article for details about the courses- https://www.careers360.com/courses/articles/ophthalmology-courses-after-12th-counar#:~:text=To%20become%20an%20ophthalmologist%2C%20you,MD%20(Doctor%20of%20Medicine)%20.
Hope it helps!
Good Evening ,
No , dear you cannot do the study of opthalmologist if you cannot do the MBBS . You have to do first MBBS complete that is bachelor of medicine and bachelor of surgery and after that you will be able to do the opthalmologist course. See , opthalmologist is a post graduation degree like MS , MD so you have to complete the under graduate degree first.
I hope it will be helpful for you.
