Dear Ganesh, NEET is the entrance examination for admission to Medical, Dental, Ayush and Veterinary colleges across India. Then there are AIIMS and JIPMER which conduct their own entrance examinations. Now NEET is also a mandatory exam to pursue Medicine abroad. In short without NEET, you cannot get admission in any Medical college across India. And for 1200 seats of AIIMS and 200 seats of JIPMER, you need to mandatorily appear and qualify in AIIMS MBBS and JIPMER MBBS.
