my cutoff was 177 ,BC and the opening cutoff for food technology in anna University was 180 do i get a chance to get in?

Hi dear candidate,

You are very close to the minimum cut off for your particular course and you do have chances to get admission in Anna University however, the admission can not be guaranteed even though food and technology courses are not so competitive.

You should try applying for TN state quota if you are eligible for it.
