IIT Dhanbad Admission Process

Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad offers admission to undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral programmes in the fields of engineering, science, and management. IIT (ISM) Dhanbad offers 15 undergraduate programmes. IIT Dhanbad courses at the UG level include B.Tech, B.Tech and M.B.A Mining Engineering and B.Tech M.Tech (dual degree). The duration of the B.Tech programme is 4 years.

IIT Dhanbad B.Tech/Integrated M.Tech Admission Process

Candidates have to apply and appear for JEE Main and JEE Advanced.
After the declaration of results, candidates have to meet the cutoff score for admission.
If the candidate is shortlisted, choose IIT Dhanbad as the preferred institute and participate in JoSAA counselling.
Selected candidates have to submit the required documents for verification and pay the IIT Dhanbad admission fees.

IIT Dhanbad M.B.A Admission Process

First, candidates are required to appear for CAT and obtain a valid score.
Shortlisting of candidates is done based on the CAT score.
Then, shortlisted candidates have to register and submit an online application form available on the official website of IIT (ISM), Dhanbad for admission.
Candidates are selected for IIT Dhanbad admission on the basis of their performance in a personal interview, CAT score, academic performance and industrial experience.
Final admission is confirmed after verification of documents and admission fee payment.

IIT Dhanbad M.Tech Admission Process

Candidates have to appear and obtain a valid score in the entrance exam- GATE.

See, having a legacy of over 100 years and being one of the old Indian Institute of Technologies, both IIT (ISM) Dhanbad and IIT BHU enjoys the full glory of being an IIT. Most of the good companies that recruit in India, they recruit from here. So, rest assured about the placements as you'll get ample opportunities in both the colleges, Now the ball is in your court as you can chose the field which excites you the most.

I would personally recommend you to go to IIT BHU as Banaras is a good city as compared to Dhanbad, so you'll be able to enjoy and explore more here.

which is better electrical engineering at ism dhanbad or iit bhubaneswar

Hello,
IIT Dhanbad is definitely better than IIT Bhubaneswar. As far as the overall placement of B. Tech in Electrical engineering is considered, the overall placement percentage is almost 75% for the academic session 2020-21. The highest package offered was 43 LPA CTC given by most of the non- core companies like Amazon, Microsoft, Sprinkler etc.

There are two types of scholarships in this college.

Merit Scholarships

For UG

Learners who have achieved a total of 90% or more (CBSE, ICSE, CIE and State Boards Exams) in all subjects in classes IX, X, XI & XII are suitable.

Eligibility for PG studies

Learners with scores of 90% or coequal and more in class XII and 75% in Graduation are desirable.
