Module 1. Understanding Administrative Systems
Module 2. Professional Documents
- An overview of several important business documents follows in module two, in which candidates learn how to structure and write a variety of letters.
- Guidelines for effective proofreading are also introduced, along with appropriate voice and tonality, how to write effective internal communications and the difference between formal and informal business letters.
Module 3. Performance Management
- The art of effective performance management is explored in module three, in which learners are presented with tools, techniques and guidelines for optimising performance in the workplace.
- The important of taking a strategic and structured approach to performance optimisation is discussed, along with common barriers to workplace efficiency and how they can be overcome.
Module 4. Meeting Management
- Module 4 discusses the organisation and management of meetings, introducing candidates to the various different types of meetings and their respective purposes/objectives.
- Various factors that can affect the quality and effectiveness of a meeting are considered, including venue selection, timing, planning, preparation and professionalism.
Module 5. Team Management
- The cornerstones of effective team management are discussed in module five, in which candidates study teamwork, objective setting, communication, performance appraisals and motivation.
- The role of the office manager in building and maintaining effective teams is discussed, along with the benefits of working as a team and several common challenges to effective teamwork.
Module 6. Time Management
- In the sixth and final module, candidates consider the importance of effective and strategic time management. Several essential time management skills are discussed, including prioritisation, planning, goal setting, communication, stress-management and delegation.
- The importance of avoiding procrastination and a series of associated triggers are also discussed.
