Hello Somenath,
The main advantage that a coaching brings to the students is discipline and consistency. Thanks to a battery of weekly tests, the exposure to fellow students who are preparing, and constant motivation from teachers, a coaching institute keeps us on our toes. It ensures that we study regularly and effectively. You may spend a week on a given chapter but the teacher at the institute may be able to tell you that the chapter has barely any weightage in the the exam based on a decade’s previous year papers, so you would know that you need to invest lesser time on the given chapter and more time on others.
Another obviou advantage is the availability of a mentor to clear any doubts you may have.
But if you believe you have the self-discipline to remain consistent throughout with your studies and have someone in your family or friend circle who can mentor you, then sure you can opt for only a test series from a good institution like Allen or Aakash and not join regular coaching.
If coaching feels too taxing and you believe you can tick the above boxes needed for self preparation, then don’t join a full time coaching.
I hope this helped make your decision a little easier.
Good luck!
All institutes are good ,it all depends upon you, how much you are working hard to clear the JEE exam, however the best coaching institute for the preparation of JEE according to the current results is ALLEN.
Hope you will get my point.
Best of luck!!

Now let's have a look at the syllabus for NDA :
.Mathematics: Algebra, Matrices and Determinants, Trigonometry, Analytical Geometry – 2D and 3D, Differential Calculus, Integral calculus and Differential equations, Vector algebra, Statistics and Probability.
The syllabus for mathematics is covered in NCERT books of 10th ,11th and 12th. There is no need to buy any fancy books as questions asked in NDA exams are pretty standard.
Tips and tricks ( things that matter) :
Sectional cutoff : One needs minimum of 20 % in both the sections of written examination which means a minimum of 60 marks in maths and 120 marks in general ability.
Overall cuttoff: The overall cutoff has been varying from 300 - 240. Scoring 320+ ensures a good chance not only in written but for overall merit list.
Build timelines: Study with time goals this ensures timely completion of syllabus and ample time for mock.
Mock tests and Previous year papers: This is the most important part of the preparation and one should take the test to check if they are able to manage the time and self assessment to work on weaker sections. Questions from previous years are repeatedly asked and provide you with a fair idea of examination.
I hope my answer will help you and all the best.
