ruchika.chauhan Expert 8th Mar, 2019

Hello

VITEEE exam is scheduled to be conducted from April 10-21, 2019. If you are planning to appear for VITEEE exam, it is essential to start your preparation as early as possible.

To prepare for the exam, you should check the detailed syllabus and pattern of the exam and then make your preparation strategy accordingly.

Clearing the exam is not much easy but if you work hard and put in best of your efforts, you can score a good rank and get seat in your desired engineering branch.

Studying smartly is a key factor to score well in the exam.

I would recommend you to enroll for the VITEEE Knockout to prepare for the exam more effectively and smartly using the smart study material (which includes chapter wise, concepts wise, most asked and most difficult questions), Advanced Test Series based on VITEEE Pattern (which includes unlimited chapter wise test, subject wise test and full mock test), adaptive time table, performance analysis (which includes Prepmeter, Strength Sheet, Weakness Sheet, Skills Graph) and Rank Predictor tool.

Should I prepare for next year jee because I am not getting any gov college in80 percentile or join any private college this year.Plese help

Suchita Paul 7th Mar, 2019
Hello Candidate,
According to your percentile your general category rank should be around 1.74lakh. You have moderate chances to qualify for JEE advance. NTA have not officially declared any cut off lists yet but according to previous years cut off trends you will not be getting a seat at NITs or GFITs, you might get seat at top private colleges.
At this point, you should start preparing for advance.
all the best:)

how much time do i need to prepare for CAT?

Veeralkumar Thakur 27th Apr, 2019
Hello,

As your from Commerce background, it would help you crack the MBA courses like Finance, Accounting etc. So don't worry about your background affecting your performance. As far as CAT is concerned just put little bit more efforts and practice in Mathematics if you think that's your weak point. Rest don't worry everyone has to prepare even they are engineers or statisticians.

Many people who appear for CAT and crack it in the first go and so will you too, with the right amount of Hardwork, focus and dedication.

As I think your might be familiar about the pattern of CAT which consists of Vocabulary (English, RCs section), Quant (Mathematics section) and DI & LR ( Graphs, Pictures and reasoning section).

The logic is more about beating the game instead of winning the game. I mean, it's not about how many questions you attempt but it's about how many you let go cause you know the answer You got might be incorrect. The ability to let go of few questions is one of the major winning tricks in a examination like CAT which is a race against time and packed with negative marking scheme.

So there is this link which can help you with detailed CAT prep and so will many other CAT coaching classes, https://www.google.co.in/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&url=https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/cat-when-and-how-start-preparations/amp&ved=2ahUKEwjE8M7_vOrhAhWK63MBHYiEDzoQFjATegQIBhAB&usg=AOvVaw3wpWyn9MB0MhMz31UyIRQD&ampcf=1

The real tricks lay beyond the syllabus and that's what you need to master. Its about ability to crack examinations instead of cracking the syllabus.

Best books would CAT books by Arun Sharma, Coaching Institute Material and Test Series, RS Agrawal for DI-LR.

In BITSAT except mpc what subjects are there?? Plz suggest me some books to prepare for those subjects except mpc!!

I was also a BITSAT aspirant. I would like to share my experience with you which would definitely help you getting in there!

The syllabus is almost the same for both JEE and BITSAT exams, but there are some differences required in practice, else tackling questions may be difficult in BITSAT exam. I am listing the names of few books which you must follow :

  • NCERT Books : It's my sincere request to you to never ignore NCERT books. They are extremely important from the JEE and BITSAT preparation point of view.
  • Arihant's Book For BITSAT : Arihant's book for BITSAT is undoubtedly a good book but solve it after clarifying your concepts. This book contains a CD too to guide you.
  • The Pearson Complete Guide to the BITSAT : You can use this book for the Verbal and Non Verbal Logical Reasoning.
  • Wren & Martin for English : You can use this for the English Proficiency section.

You can do one more thing apart from reading books. You can practice Mock Tests for BITSAT as much as you can. Many institutes provide online test series for BITSAT at low costs.

I am also providing you an overview of the exam pattern :

The question paper carries a total of 450 marks, distributed across 4 sections.  The BITSAT question paper is divided into 4 sections, featuring a total of 150 questions -

  • Section I- Physics 40 questions
  • Section II- Chemistry- 40 questions
  • Section III- (a) English Proficiency- 15 questions (b) Logical Reasoning- 10 questions
  • Section IV- Mathematics/Biology- 45 questions

Let me tell you the marking scheme too :

  • For each right answer, you will be awarded 3 marks.
  • For each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

Every year the cutoff for BITSAT is about 320 marks.

I am also listing some of the topics which are important for BITSAT preparation :

  • Physics : Current Electricity (9% questions)
  • Chemistry : General Organic Chemistry (12% questions)
  • Mathematics : Trigonometry (9% questions)
  • English Proficiency : Synonyms and Antonyms (30% questions)
  • Logical Reasoning : Logical Deduction (26% questions)

Lastly, i would like to say that please make a good strategy to clear exams like BITSAT because time management is the most important part of the exams like this. Make sure you attempt all questions so that you get an opportunity to attempt the 12 Bonus questions.

Hope this helps!!

All the Best :)

sir please tell me how to prepare for eamcet agriculture in last two months

Shreya_1549549812 Student Expert 7th Mar, 2019

Hello Rustum ,

As you have only two moths left then at this time you should be more focused not to the things you are weak but to the subject or topics you are strong. If you know the basic concepts well and are able to recollect them without any difficulty, then try to bring your time of attempting Chemistry down to 30 minutes by doing a large no. of mock attempts. Go for the concept first before going on high level.

Hope it helps.

Thank you.
