Sayam Smruti 5th Mar, 2019

Hello Ayush,

SSC also was known as Staff Selection Commission has been one of the most recommended organisations which conducts government exams in India. It conducts Combined Graduate Level i.e., SSC CGL exam every year for recruitment of non-technical Group B and Group C non gazetted posts in various Ministries or Departments under Government of India.

It conducts the CGL exam for recruitment into services like

Inspectors of Central Excise and Customs

Income Tax Inspectors

Preventive Officers in Customs

Sub- Inspectors in CBI and Narcotics department

Assistant Enforcement Officers in the Department of Revenue

Junior Accountant, Auditor in various govt offices

The compiler in Registrar General of India

And various other assistant posts in Ministries/Departments, attached and Subordinate Office of Government of India.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) exam in four levels for various posts.

The exam pattern is as below:

Tier I- Objective Multiple Choice Questions. Computer-based online exam.

Tier II-Objective Multiple Choice Questions. Computer-based online exam.

Tier III-Descriptive Paper in English/Hindi. Pen-Paper based mode of exam.

Tier IV-Skill test/ Computer Proficiency Test.

SSC CGL Syllabus

A. General Intelligence and Reasoning:

Classification Problems, Analogy, Coding-Decoding, Word Formation, Matrix, Word Formation, Venn Diagrams, Direction and Distance, Blood relations, series, Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning.

B.General Awareness

Tier IV Syllabus:

Hence, if you want to focus on the preparation of SSC CGL exam you should build a very strong base in mathematics and English and have an overlook on general awareness and reasoning part.

In Tier I each section will be of 25 questions and the time will be limited to just 1 hour. So you should have a good command in solving all questions within the minimum time period.

As the graduation subject doesn't matter because all the questions asked will be of high school standard and the main focus should be given on speed and accuracy in solving the questions.

I hope this helps you. Good Luck!

I am a mechatronics engineering student. I want to know from which branch i can prepare for gate exam . Please give a suggestion.

Mayur Shetti 3rd Mar, 2019

Hi

Mechatronics Engineering is itself a specilized branch. It is a mixture of mechanical, electronics and electrical. Now as far as GATE exam is concerned no seprate paper  exists for Mechatronics.

So you are left with following papers which are closely related to mechatronics enginering.

1. Mechanical

2. Electronics and communication

3. Electrical

Now you have to make choice between this.

I can give you few pointers based on which you can take decision.

1. Check for GATE syallbus of those above 3 papers and try to compare with your mechatronics subjects whichever is closely related choose that.

2. Based on your prospects like in which PSU you want to work.

3. Higher studies specilization subject.

Is GATE preparation help to get good rank in IES?

M. Kushagra. 12th Apr, 2019
Yes,gate preparation helps you for ies also but major point is syllabus covered in gate is much smaller than ies to be able to co-op with other aspirants who are only preparing for ies! Since ies has easier question compared to gate but calculation you have to do on your own, gate aspirant generally start calculating 2*2 using virtual calculator, basically point is a overdependence on calculator is commonly seen in gate student and when u go for ies brain goes blank in exam!
Pros of gate student if question comes from gate syllabus he can definitely solve it.
I am telling about ece.gate vs prelims only!

How to read in neet preparation

ruchika.chauhan Expert 18th Mar, 2019

Hello

NEET UG is scheduled to be conducted on 5 May, 2019 and you should focus on the revision part. Speed and Accuracy both are the key factors to score a good rank in the exam and get a seat in any decent medical college.

You should practice previous year question papers and mock test. It will help you to know about the exam pattern and types of questions asked in the exam. Solving question papers enhance your speed too.

Also, focus on the topics which carry more weightage.  It has been analysed that out of 7060 concepts/definitions in physics, chemistry and biology in NEET, only 16% concepts/definitions were asked till 2017 paper and  73% paper of NEET UG 2018 was based on these 16% concepts/definitions.
You should work on these concepts only to score good marks in the exam.

Enroll for the NEET Rank Booster for your preparation-
