Hello
No its not difficult to prepare for gate from the 3rd year of college irrespective of the branch in which you're persuing the B.Tech.
There are different books available in the college library too that is gate books of different years (Made Easy) at the initial level you can read your reference books of the subjects which are in 2nd year with the opinion of your faculty in college
and then the books of library.
ALL THE BEST
Hi manoj,
Neet exam 's biology questions mostly come from ncert books, so study ncert books carefully and with understanding each and every word's meaning too.
About 70 questions out of 90 comes from ncert books of biology.
You should firstly study that books and then side by side any extra book. Do remember to solve mcqs on dialy basis.
Errorless book is also good but you can have mtg biology ncert on fingerpoint.
For any other information you can ask us.
Hi Rakesh,
As of now the CAT exam pattern is similar to previous year and year before that as a computer based test of 3 hours duration. CAT exam pattern since 2015 has remained on the same lines. However, it might change in upcoming years as decided by the council. The topics to study for CAT are:
VARC: 1st section
DILR: 2nd section
Quant: 3rd section
Good Luck
The best website to prepare for GATE exam is Gate Academy. You may check out their content released weekly on Youtube at their Youtube channel : Gate Academy Plus. They are doing a great job in helping students to brush up concepts and clear doubts too. Their videos are very good and informative and good for brushing up on theoretical knowledge alon with practice sums. But if you want to prepare steadily with lots of practice then Made easy Postal Course will help you. Although it is a bit expensive. All the best!
Hi Ronak, thanks for your query.
It is nice that you are going to prepare from now for GATE exam. For preparation of exam, you should invest atleast 6 hours daily to brush up your concepts starting with the subjects which you'll study in second year like Digital Logic and then Theory of Automata. Engineering Mathematics which you must have already studied in first year and will study remaining in second year.
After studying a concept, also practise previous year question paper so that you can understand the level of questions in exam and that will bring you confidence to solve questions. Attempt test series which are available online or in paper form. Test series are most important to test your skills and concept understanding.
Hope it helps!
See coaching has a very minor role in gate preperation. Each and every one of us has studied all of our subject in one night just before our semester exams which had numericals comparable to good questions of gate. So we are capable of understanding the topics on our own. But the biggest question is what to study and how to approach that question. Here coachings play an important role. They give you direction. And we all have seen gateforum has given a lot of good ranks. So no matter what there is no fault in coaching institute. There might be some mistakes in their material but for gate previous year questions are more than enough. You can prefer made easy previous year questions book if you find mistakes in your material. But in the end it all comes to your hard work. how many times you have completed that previous year book. Made easy has approx 16k students in mechanical itself..and approx 600 of them come in top 1000.( just making a guess here). So its not coachings fault..Trust your teachers and the institue. They will do their part to 200%.. but you have to give your efforts as well..Work as hard as possible without predicting and calculating the outcomes.. No one is sherlock here. Just work hard and let universe play its role…
Hello,
FITJEE is better than Narayna and i can tell you this by experience of my friends and upon the performances of the institution in JEE. Though it almost depends on the student whether he is able to handle that pressure or not and how one is doing the time management. But then also Institute has a alot of role in it , now let me tell you why FITJEE is better.
Exam pattern-Fiitjee sets an exam in correlation to what is taught, whereas, in Narayana, the teachers teach whatever they want, and hence the paper which comes from the main center would be different. (As told by my friends who used to say that exams don't have a point at all in Narayana)
Material provided-The Fiitjee material is given in a way that it is in correlation with what is taught in the class(if they do not do so, they make sure they give you that chapter-related material),whereas in Narayana(mostly not the top batch),the material given for a specific chapter and the chapter that the teacher teaches is completely different.
Teacher availability-Fiitjee being a centralised and a stable brand where each campus comes under the scrutiny of the head centre in Delhi, if at all any faculty leaves the institute, a replacement is brought in quite immediately. Whereas in Narayana every branch is more or less autonomous, so if at all a good faculty member leaves, it all boils down to the principal who decides whom to pick mostly.
Class size-Don't know about all centers , but in Fiitjee Vizag, the maximum strength is 40 odd. But in Narayana, you can see classes going up to 100 students in a section.
Motivating to the final goal-Here both are quite weak, especially if you are not in the top batch, that must be within you.
Choose your centre wisely not all FITJEE centres are good enough, but most of them are top notch.
But as i said, 90% of it depends on you, how you see them , how you handle your studies.
Hope this helps

Yes op tondom and ms chauhan are good for your chemistry preparation for neet. But do remember to read ncert books of chemistry and other subjects because many questions in neet exam come from ncert directly or indirectly of all the subjects.
And you can also have mtg chemistry ncert on fingerpoint to practice mcqs of chemistry.
