As an OBC candidate from Maharashtra, you're eligible for NEET admissions in Maharashtra. However, for other states, the eligibility criteria might differ.
All India Quota (AIQ) and State Quota:
1. All India Quota (AIQ): 15% of seats in government colleges are reserved for AIQ. You can apply for AIQ seats in any state, regardless of your domicile.
2. State Quota: 85% of seats in government colleges are reserved for state quota. For state quota seats, you'll need to fulfill the eligibility criteria of the respective state.
Eligibility for Other States:
To be eligible for state quota seats in other states, you'll typically need to:
1. Meet the state's eligibility criteria: Each state has its own eligibility criteria, which might include domicile requirements, minimum qualifying marks, or other conditions.
2. Fulfill the state's reservation policies: Some states have different reservation policies, which might affect your eligibility.
Some popular states for NEET admissions, along with their eligibility criteria, are:
- Karnataka: You'll need to fulfill the Karnataka domicile criteria or have studied in a Karnataka school for at least 7 years.
- Tamil Nadu: You'll need to fulfill the Tamil Nadu domicile criteria or have studied in a Tamil Nadu school for at least 5 years.
- Gujarat: You'll need to fulfill the Gujarat domicile criteria or have studied in a Gujarat school for at least 3 years
I hope this information helps you plan your NEET admissions strategy!
Hello Avilasha,
Your State of Eligibility for NEET 2025 depends on the state where you completed your 10+2 (Class 12) and your domicile :
You can choose either WB or TN for the 85% state quota seats , depending on which has better chances based on your NEET score and category.
I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.
Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.
Hello
State of Eligibility for NEET should be Madhya Pradesh (MP) because you completed your 10th and 12th grades there.
However, since your father is in the Army , you may also be eligible for admission under the Defence Quota in some states. Your current address in Odisha and Aadhaar details from Tamil Nadu do not affect your NEET state eligibility .
Hope this gives you the clarity you need.
Hello there,
In KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test), eligibility clause depends on your education and domicile status . Since you studied in Andhra Pradesh (AP) , you may not qualify under Karnataka domicile unless:
Check KCET official brochure for the exact clause that applies to your situation. If you're unsure, select "Others" and verify during document verification.
Yes, if you're appearing for the Kerala DHSE exam , you must fulfil some Kerala DHSE 2nd year exam requirements, such as:
You must score D+ or above age in all subjects in the Kerala DHSE 1st year examination result .
Continuous evaluation (CE): Students must undergo continuous evaluation for each subject, such that must submit the assignments and projects on time.
If you're a regular student, you will be required to complete at least 75% of the total number of working days on the last day of the academic year.
Hello,
If you meet the above conditions, you can apply to the Indian medical colleges for 2025 as an IB student.
Check individual colleges for specific requirements for IB students.
Seeing dates from last year, USET notification came somewhere around Late November, so it is safe to predict that they will be releasing the Application form soon, do keep a track on the official Website. I believe it'll be out by 2nd week of December.

Hello Leela, Yes, you can correct the state code of eligibility during JoSAA counseling if it was entered incorrectly in the JEE Mains application. During the document verification process, ensure you submit valid proof of your correct state of eligibility, such as your domicile certificate or the qualifying exam certificate. This will help match your records. It’s important to bring the issue to the attention of the counseling authorities, if necessary, to avoid any confusion later. As long as your documents are valid and consistent, it shouldn’t cause major problems.
