i couldnt appear in my 12 boards in 2023 due to some reasons though i had completed my registration process back then . now i have rergistered and giving the 12 th exam with a 2 yrs gap . am i eligible for jee main and advance

Prachi Kumari 5th Jul, 2024

Hi,

Yes, you can give the JEE Main exam even if you took a two-year gap to finish your 12th class due to any reason. Here are the relevant eligibility criteria for JEE Main:

1. Year of Passing 12th Standard:

For JEE Main 2024, candidates who passed their 12th class exams in 2022, 2023, or are appearing in 2024 are eligible to apply.

A two-year gap after the 12th class is permissible, as long as the candidate's year of passing falls within the acceptable range for that particular years JEE Main.

2. Number of Attempts:

A candidate can attempt JEE Main a maximum of three consecutive years. Since JEE Main is conducted twice a year, this gives six attempts in total.

3. Other Criteria:

Candidates need to have studied the required subjects in their 12th standard (Physics, Mathematics, and one among Chemistry/Biotechnology/Biology/Technical Vocational subject).

There is no age limit for appearing in JEE Main.

Therefore, if a student takes a two-year gap after their 12th class, they are still eligible to apply for and take the JEE Main exam, provided they meet the other eligibility criteria mentioned above.

For more detailed information, you can refer to the official JEE Main information bulletin on the National Testing Agency (NTA) website.

Hope it helps!

is skill subject marks in 12th accepted for jee eligibility of 75%? they need Five subjects Aggregate Persentage, in that Five Subjects Can We Count Skill subject (Yoga) marks ?

Lalit Kumar 8th Nov, 2024

Dear

According to the information yes, you can count the marks from a skill subject like Yoga in your aggregate percentage for JEE eligibility. The eligibility criteria require a minimum of 75% in your Class 12th or equivalent examination, and this percentage is calculated based on the marks from five subjects, including Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, one language subject, and one additional subject.

So, if Yoga is one of your five subjects, its marks will be included in the calculation of your aggregate percentage.

Thanks.

Devyani Prakash 14th Feb, 2024

Since the JEE Main January 2024 result is out, you must have got your percentile. You can check your result on JEE official website, jeemain.nta.ac.in.

The NTA score is the percentile only, so if you're saying that your NTA score is 60.89, that means that is your percentile.

If you want to check your eligibility for college admissions in JoSAA counselling and other different state and university counsellings, and get information regarding which colleges you would be eligible for based on your marks and details, then you can refer to the Careers360 JEE Main College Predictor: https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor?utm_source=qna
