Bipasha 19th May, 2025

All four colleges are reputed for MSW, but here’s a quick comparison:

MSSW (Madras School of Social Work), Chennai – One of the best in India for MSW; strong faculty, placements, and fieldwork exposure.

Loyola College, Chennai – Excellent reputation in social sciences; good infrastructure and practical training.

MCC (Madras Christian College), Chennai – Known for holistic education and good alumni network in the social work field.

St. Joseph’s University, Bangalore – Growing reputation with strong field exposure and decent placements.

Top Pick: MSSW is generally considered the best among these for MSW. But your choice should depend on specialization, location preference, and fee structure.

With further studies, you can become a chemist, lab technician, research associate, or university-level teacher/researcher . Entry into doctoral roles or teaching at colleges will require MSc or PhD in Chemistry. The industry demand for chemistry professionals spans pharmaceuticals, R&D, manufacturing, environment, and academics

U have scored 97.44 percentile and I have a sc rank of 1126.Can I get into Nitk Surathkal college for cse branch

Prachi Kumari 28th Jun, 2025

Hello,

With 97.44 percentile and SC rank 1126, getting CSE in NITK Surathkal is very difficult. CSE cut-off for SC category in NITK usually closes at a much lower rank. You may try for other lower branches or other NITs where CSE cut-off is higher.

Hope it helps !

I have completed my class 12th with commerce i am doing a job and i want to become a government teacher without leaving my job please direct me from where i can start?

harsh singh 22nd Mar, 2025

Since you have completed Class 12th with commerce and want to become a government teacher while continuing your job, follow these steps:

1. Choose the Right Path

To become a government teacher, you need to meet the qualification requirements:

•    Primary Teacher (PRT) → Class 1-5 : Minimum D.El.Ed (Diploma in Elementary Education) after 12th.

•    Trained Graduate Teacher (TGT) → Class 6-8 : Requires Graduation + B.Ed (Bachelor of Education).

•    Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) → Class 9-12 : Requires Post Graduation + B.Ed.

Since you have commerce in 12th, the best option is to complete Graduation (B.Com or BA) along with B.Ed or D.El.Ed.

2. Start Graduation (If Not Done Already)

•    If you haven’t completed a degree, enroll in a distance B.Com or BA (IGNOU, DU SOL, or other state open universities).

•    Distance learning allows you to study while working.

3. Choose the Right Teaching Course

•    D.El.Ed (2 years, for primary teachers) – Available online/offline.

•    B.Ed (2 years, for TGT/PGT teachers) – Available in regular mode, but some universities offer part-time/weekend courses.

4. Prepare for Teacher Eligibility Tests (TETs)

  • After D.El.Ed/B.Ed, you must clear exams like:
  • CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) – For central govt. schools.
  • State TETs – For state govt. schools.
  • KVS/NVS/DSSSB/APS exams – For specific government teaching jobs.

5. Apply for Government Teacher Jobs

Once you qualify for TET, you can apply for government school teacher positions in central/state schools.

in my 10th marksheet my mother name is punam and in her aadhar card her name is written as poonam so is that issue for filling jee form

Kenma Kozume 5th Mar, 2025

hi ,

Yes, the difference in spelling between Punam (in your 10th marksheet) and Poonam (in your mother's Aadhaar card) could potentially create an issue while filling out the JEE application form, especially if document verification is required later. However, minor spelling variations are generally not a major problem unless specifically asked to be corrected.

this is what you can do -

  • Use the name as per your 10th marksheet when filling out the JEE form, as it is an official academic document.
  • Check the JEE application guidelines to see if they mention any name correction policy for parents' names.
  • If possible, get an affidavit stating that "Punam" and "Poonam" refer to the same person —this can be useful in case of any future verification issues.
  • If time permits, correct the name in Aadhaar to match the 10th marksheet, as Aadhaar name updates are relatively easier.

hope this helps
