Preparation
Hi Aveline,
CLAT or the Common Law Admission Test is conducted for admission into 5-year LLB programmes of participating NLUs . So, you need to prepare for it differently than you would do for JEE which is the entrance exam to obtain admission into engineering. However, CLAT is also a very competitive exam like JEE.
The CLAT question paper would have passages which are followed by multiple choice questions based on the passage. The CLAT syllabus includes English, GK and current affairs, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques.
You need to develop a reading habit and stay updated with current affairs and developments in the legal field. Practise with sample papers for CLAT to improve speed and assess your level of preparation.

Good Luck!
Dear Aspirant,
It totally depends upon how much familiar you are with the syllabus and how much you have studied in the past. If you are familiar with with more than 50% of the syllabus then chances are you'll make it to the top 10 NITs, however, if you are starting from the scratch then chances are very slim that you'll make it to lower nits as JEE is a very hard exam and the competition is too high.
Hope this helps.
Thank you.
Hello aspirant,
A diploma student who has completed his degree or is in his final year, is eligible to apply for JEE Main. But he won't be able to pursue admission in NIT. The candidate must clear JEE Mains after which he has to clear JEE advanced.
There are 2 types of papers. Paper 1 is for B.Tech (Engineering) and paper 2 is for B.Arch (Architecture). For paper 1, the syllabus includes Physics, chemistry and mathematics. The paper will contain 30 MCQs for each of the subjects mentioned.
Refer to the syllabus of class 11th and 12th for PCM. Also, go through some reference books and try solving as many MCQs as possible. Try looking for short cut methods to solve sums in order to save time. You can also refer YouTube for tricks to solve difficult sums. Also try not to use guessing game as it might affect your marks. Go for an answer only if you are sure of it.
Good luck.
