Should I give a drop for Jee preparation or join BIT Sindri Mechanical.?

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 26th Jun, 2018
Hello Ashutosh,

I'll not suggest you to drop for Jee preparation s.

Mechanical is one of the best branch of bit sindri.
You have option then just take it.
Studying 1st year btech won't affect your jee preparation in any way.
While studying in BIT Sindri in the first semester, you get ample opportunities of studying.

You maynt attend any class except labs, as these are a must. No teacher gives direct supplementary for non attending the classes (excluding some exceptions.

Youll get ample time for your jee preparation here.
Also there is lot of holidays .  Students even bunk classes for weeks.

But the decision is obviously yours.
Just believe you can do it.

Good luck.

Hlo sir.. I have prepration of Biotechnology .plz Tell me sir.And How???

Ishika Mishra 19th Apr, 2018

Biotechnology comprises different sub-branches like Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Molecular biology, Immunology, Microbial technology, Biophysical techniques, Industrial biotechnology, Environmental biotechnology, Animal/Plant biotechnology.During your biotech course, you came across different practicals of biotechnology like randomly I can say about Isolation of DNA, Gel electrophoresis AGE/PAGE, Cell culturing, Isolation of microorganism, Obtain MIC of metal, Transformation, Conjugation, BOD/COD determination etc. Whatever you have learned during the course is just a basic. If your basics are firm then only you can build up a  career in research. You should indulge yourself in different seminars or conferences held by different colleges/research institutes which gives insights about the current scenario of biotechnology research and innovations, it will also provides you a glimpse of latest tools/techniques and experiment which you have not seen during academics. Some biotech institutes like Hafikine, ACTREC in Mumbai, NCBP, IISc in Banglore, RGCB Thiruvanantpuram, CCMB Hyderabad etc provide internships, workshops for students as well as professors. You can also get a hands-on experience on expensive instruments which are used in research institutes. Only getting a biotech degree is not enough, simultaneously you have to engage yourself in small training sessions, workshops. Take an active part in biotech competitions and fests, earn certificates of participation, so that after your UG getting into job field will become little easy.

Hope It helps!!.

Can I get any good architecture college if I have scored 54% in my boards and 224 in JEE paper 2? (I am ST)

Tiyasa Bhadra 20th Jun, 2019
Hi there!

The minimum criteria for admission in B.Arch course in any recognised government college is that, you have to score a minimum of 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics with an aggregate of 65% (ST). In case of paper 2 of JEE mains, any score above 250 secures a good rank.

Sorry to say that you are not eligible for B.Arch course in any Government college. However you can look forward to some of the private colleges that accepts JEE mains score.

Good luck!

Hello sir could you please refer some books for every section of the coat exam for preparation

Anonymous 11th Apr, 2018

Hi Hussain,

Contrary to popular belief, coaching isn’t essential for securing great marks in any exam. Some would argue that you need to get tutors for class 12th Boards even, but I managed to do just fine without them and score 95%. The important thing is to make the most of the resources available.

1. Be thorough with your school/college material. Even if it doesn’t cover the entire syllabus, your basic concepts will be formed from these texts only and this foundation is very important for tackling the more complex questions asked in CLAT.

2. Talk to your teachers and seniors who have appeared for CLAT before. Discuss your plan to appear for CLAT without any coaching and get recommendations for the best books to study from and any other online resources to make use of.

Here are a few books to start with, section wise:

English: Word Power Made Easy by Norman Lewis

Wren and Martin for grammar

Legal Aptitude: Universal’s LLB Entrance Guide

Legal Aptitude and Legal Reasoning by A.P. Bhardawaj

Logical Reasoning: Verbal and Non-Verbal Reasoning by R.S. Aggarwal

Analytical Reasoning by MK Pandey

GK: Objective General Knowledge by Arihant Publications

Pearson’s Concise GK Manual

The newspaper, of course

Elementary Mathematics: M.K. Tyra for Maths Short Tricks

R.S. Aggarwal

3. Arrange for frequent mock tests . Begin with topic-wise tests and once you begin to cover the syllabus, switch to full-length mocks. Keep these properly timed. Most importantly, analyze your performance on these mocks and spot your strengths and weaknesses. Your subsequent preparation should proceed according to what you uncover in your analysis.

A few apps that I have found which help me to analyze my performance on the mocks I take are CLAT Possible. Sriram’s are worth trying if money is not an issue. For previous year’s papers, I downloaded the CLAT app by EduRev CLAT 2018 Law entrance Preparation: Legal Aptitude - Android Apps on Google Play

4. Get a community . It’s always better to prepare for someone else. You don’t need to know the exact details of how someone is coming along. But it is absolutely recommended to have a group of people on hand to answer any doubts or motivate you when you get stuck. I ask my friends, get help from teachers (who, more or less, oversee my preparation now), and frequently participate in the forums on the CLAT app by EduRev . This amount of ‘group prep’ works very well for me.

Good Luck!
