I have got 2224 rank in JAM 2025 Math (GEN). Is it good enough for NIT

Devanshi Goyal 22nd Mar, 2025

To check if your rank of 2224 in JAM 2025 Math (GEN) is good enough for an NIT, it's important to look at the previous years' cutoffs and trends for Mathematics in various NITs. Generally, a rank like 2224 could allow admission to some NITs, especially in specific categories, but the chances depend heavily on the specific NIT and the course demand.

I would recommend checking the detailed JAM 2025 cutoff trends for Mathematics on the Careers360 website or consulting their JAM College Predictor to get a more precise idea based on recent data.

My gate score is 396 and rank is 14950 my paper was Computer science and Information Technology which college will i get for doing Mtech

Afreen 21st Mar, 2025

With a GATE score of 396 and a rank of 14950 in Computer Science and Information Technology, you have a decent chance of getting into some good colleges for M.Tech.

Here are a few options to consider:

- NITs: You can try for NITs like NIT Warangal, NIT Trichy, or NIT Surathkal. While the cutoffs for these colleges can be quite high, your rank might be competitive for some of the less popular specializations.

- Central Universities: Central universities like the University of Hyderabad (UoH) or Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) might also be a good fit. These universities often have a more relaxed cutoff compared to the top NITs.

- Other options You can also consider other colleges like COE Pune, VJIT Mumbai, or IIITs like IIIT Allahabad or IIITDM Kancheepuram.

Keep in mind that the cutoffs for M.Tech admissions can vary greatly depending on the college, specialization, and category. It's essential to check the specific cutoffs for each college and specialization you're interested in.

To get a better idea of your chances, I recommend using a GATE college predictor tool. These tools can help you estimate your chances of getting into a particular college based on your score and rank.

sir mera gate score- 480 rank 2998 marks - 36 catagory obc ncl subject -EE ish main iit / nit / kuch job mil sakta hai abhi main third year main hu next year ish rank se admission le sakta hu kya abhi kuch from fill karna hai kya sir please reply me i dont know about next procrdure

Prachi Kumari 21st Mar, 2025

Hello,

With a GATE score of 480 , rank 2998 , and OBC-NCL category in EE , you have chances in some NITs, IIITs, and good state government colleges for M.Tech. Getting into IITs might be difficult, but newer or lower-ranked IITs may consider you in some interdisciplinary branches.

For jobs , some PSUs recruit through GATE , but for top PSUs, your score might be low. You can still apply for state government jobs, private companies, and research fellowships that accept GATE scores.

Since you are in third year , your score will be valid for next year also. You don’t need to apply for admission this year. In your final year (next year), you need to apply for COAP (for IITs) and CCMT (for NITs, IIITs, etc.) .

Right now, no forms are required . Just focus on improving your score if you want better IITs or PSUs next year.

Hope it helps !

Do you give admission only on 2 Non Med Percentage alongwith JEE Mains percentile or the entrance Exam CUET conducted by you ?

Afreen 5th Apr, 2025

Admissions for CUET aren't solely based on 2 Non-Med Percentage along with JEE Mains percentile. The eligibility criteria for CUET require students to have scored at least 50% marks in their Class 12th exam for general candidates and 45% for reserved categories.

Additionally, CUET has its own exam pattern, which includes multiple-choice questions divided into three sections:

- Section 1: Language proficiency(English/Hindi/regional languages)

- Section 2: Domain-specific subjects

- Section 3: General Aptitude

It's also important to note that while JEE Mains is a separate entrance exam, some universities may consider both CUET and JEE Mains scores for admission to certain programs. However, the specific admission criteria may vary depending on the university and course.

To confirm the admission criteria for your desired course, I recommend checking the official websites of the participating universities or contacting them directly.

while filling my application form for cuet ug i am not getting option of 10th marksheet aploadation and this year I am appear for 12th exam so is this application successfully submitted only with photograph and sign

Rubina Naseer 2nd Apr, 2025

Yes, if the CUET UG application form does not ask for the 10th marksheet upload and only requires a photograph and signature, your application should still be considered valid. Since you are currently appearing for the 12th exams, the system may not require additional documents at this stage. However, double-check the official guidelines or contact CUET support to confirm.

Hi, I have qualified gate this year(2025) and got 9060 rank Can i get admission in Andhra University? If I get admission then would there fees reimbursement that appgecet qualified students get??

Rubina Naseer 2nd Apr, 2025

Congratulations on qualifying GATE 2025 with a rank of 9,060. Regarding your queries:

Admission to Andhra University:

- GATE cutoff trends: Admission to M.Tech programs at Andhra University is competitive, and cutoff ranks vary annually based on factors like the number of applicants, seat availability, and overall performance. In previous years, certain specializations had closing GATE ranks ranging widely. While some programs had cutoffs within the top 5,000 ranks, others extended beyond 10,000. Therefore, with a rank of 9,060, your chances of securing admission depend on the specific M.Tech specialization you are interested in and the corresponding cutoffs for that year.

- Recommendation: It's advisable to check the latest cutoff information for your desired specialization and consider applying to multiple institutions to enhance your admission prospects.

**Fee reimbursement eligibility:**

- GATE vs. AP PGECET candidates: According to the detailed notification for AP PGECET admissions, fee reimbursement is specifically mentioned for AP PGECET rankers who secure admission in government universities. The notification states that only AP PGECET rankers securing admission in government universities are eligible for fee reimbursement.

- Clarification needed: The notification does not explicitly mention fee reimbursement eligibility for GATE-qualified candidates. Therefore, it's essential to seek clarification from the admissions office of Andhra University or the relevant state education authorities to determine if GATE qualifiers are eligible for similar fee reimbursement benefits.

**Next steps:**

1. Contact Andhra University's admissions office to obtain accurate information regarding admission cutoffs for your desired specialization and fee reimbursement policies for GATE-qualified candidates.

2. Explore alternative institutions where your GATE rank might secure admission, broadening your opportunities.

3. Stay updated by regularly checking official notifications and websites for the most current information on admissions and financial assistance.

By taking these steps, you can make informed decisions and enhance your chances of securing admission and financial support. https://pgecet-sche1.aptonline.in/PGECETPhase2Documents/Home/Detailed%20Notification%20APPGECET-2024-Admissions_03092024040914.pdf

Hi. With a GATE XL score of 251, and rank 12030 (gen category), what can i pursue? Can i get a decent college/university for PhD?

Mayumi DAS 2nd Apr, 2025

Hello,

With an XL score of 251 and a general category rank of 12,030, your options for PhD admissions depend on the specific IIT/IIM cutoffs and the department you're targeting.

1. IIMs & Top IITs: Admission to the top IIMs (like IIM Ahmedabad, Bangalore, or Calcutta) for PhD/FPM programs is difficult with this rank, but some newer IIMs or IITs may consider your application based on research interests and profile.

2. Mid-Tier IITs & IIITs: IITs like IIT Hyderabad, IIT Roorkee, or IIT Guwahati, and some IIITs may offer PhD opportunities, especially if you have a strong research background.

3. Private & Central Universities: Institutes like Ashoka University, Shiv Nadar University, and JNU offer research-focused PhD programs where XL score matters less compared to research potential.

4. Foreign Universities: If your goal is research, you can also consider international PhD programs where XL scores are not mandatory but publications and research proposals are key.

i got a rank of 15000 in gate life science which college i can get admission in

Riya Dhoot 20th Mar, 2025

hello,

With a GATE 2025 rank of 15,000 in Life Sciences (XL paper), you may still have some options for pursuing M.Tech  in Life Sciences at various institutions, but the chances are generally higher for colleges with relatively lower cutoffs. Here are some possibilities like (NITs) they may have openings for candidates with a rank of 15,000, especially in life sciences or related fields like biotechnology and environmental Engineering. (GFTIs) may have more relaxed cutoffs, and you could have a chance to apply for M.Tech. you can also apply to many private institutuions like Amity University, and others offer M.Tech.
