Best of Luck!!
Hi,
Main subjects should be physics. But choosing PCMC (Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Computer Science) would be more beneficial as astronauts will be dealing with computer systems as well in their career, though you will get a good basic in programming skills.
To become an astronaut you should choose Science stream. And to become an astronaut if NASA you must have an experience of 100 flight hours, so you will have to take aeronautical engineering and then do aerospace engineering.
Most astronauts have a master's degree, and a PhD will significantly improve your chances of reaching the stars.
Hope this helps
Wish you luck
Greetings, Aspirant...
The following are the educational qualifications for becoming an astronaut:
After 10th grade, you must enrol in a science path with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as core subjects.
After that, obtain a Bachelor's degree from a reputable institution.
In your Bachelor's degree, you can study physics, chemistry, mathematics, biology, and other disciplines. However, it is recommended that you take courses in aerospace or aeronautical engineering and avionics as part of your Bachelor's degree, and then continue with your Master's and Ph.D. in the same field.
Attempt to achieve the greatest possible score in all competitions or academic assessments that you participate in. Because there are a lot of individuals applying for this position and it's in such bad shape,
You can join the ISRO after graduation by taking the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE). To join NASA, you must take the NASA Space Physical Exam.
Try to get an internship in these disciplines so that you can learn the fundamentals of the field work. This will provide you with the necessary experience to meet the job's requirements and will increase your employability.
It is recommended that you first join the Air Force or the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), and then enrol in an astronaut training programme. This will provide you with the necessary field training.
I hope this information helps.
Regards.
Greetings !! You are aiming for such a good profession.
To be an Astronaut in NASA you need to fulfill these general criterias
1. You need to have a Master's degree in STEM field including Engineering or Computer Science or Mathematics or Biological Sciences from an institution with proper accreditation.
2. 2 years professional experience after degree completion or minimum 1000 hr Pilot-in-command time on jet aircraft.
3. Should pass the long duration NASA Flight Astronaut Physical.
Hope it helps!!
Dear candidate, the General Pay Scale of Astronaut in US Dollars is normally 56000 to 65000 as per GS11 and GS12. For Software Engineer it is 4-8 LPA and for Electrical Engineer it is somewhat higher 5-9 LPA in India.
For a MBBS there is no such pay scale, it depends on your experience and the number of patients you visit every day to calculate the exact pay scale.
A US Space Scientist earns 1,37000 dollars per annum approx, in India the salary ranges from 3-6 LPA as a fresher. With Experience it increases, all these are general pay scales, if your potential is high then you will get the best job with great salary packages.
All the best!!

I think every field is equally important and every career has its own importance. If you're asking about which career is more good then I would say that doctor field is best.
