which is best course Azim Premji University for PG?

iammohdshareef 27th Nov, 2020

This is kinda confusing question. You shouldn't go according to the course which is good. Opt for the course which has more scope or in which you are interested in. For example, if you are Interested in business field  you should go for MBA, can go for Diploma can even opt for engineering courses if you are interested. So look according to your interest or the value. Azim Premji University has MA Programmes in LLM in Law and Development, MA Economics, MA Education, MA Development and MA Public Policy and Governance. Every course has its own eligiblity criteria and so it more or less depends on your Educational qualification. But MA Economics has been recently launched here. And MA Public Policy and Governance  has got good options as this is relatively a new course in India.

someone told me that Azim premji university does not conducts annual or semester exams. if it is true, then what is the procedure of marking a student? also since i am going to persue bsc. Physics, do i need to study other subjects there?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 29th Aug, 2020

hi,

see the bsc course curriculum in azim premji university is quite different from others indian government orthodox colleges. the 3 years bsc course on physics, biology and mathematics is credit based program unlike the semester wise program. so there is no semester wise final exams. however you have to study the interdisciplinary subject of 36 credit apart from your major subjects .

Students have to choose one of the topics from the following areas.

DEVELOPMENT

Education

sustainability

MEDIA AND DEMOCRACY

however honors students also get the opportunity to work on the research works as per their major subjects discipline.

hope it would help.

hello everyone. now what i am going to ask may irritate someone but i am just asking that can someone tell me about lifestyle at azim premji university ?

Mayank Chowdhary 23rd Jun, 2020

Azim Premji University is a decent college with great infrastructure and surrounding areas. The campus has tennis and table tennis rooms, cafeteria and canteens and recreation room as well. Open mics and club activities are also held frequently. . Various festivals and some seminars are also conducted. Access to television sets, gymming, cricket and football grounds and a music room with equipments are also available. Libraries are open till late.

Talking about the hostels now, the hostel are situated at two different places - The FYs and half of the seniors stay on the main campus (UG1 - this contains the academic block too) while the rest live in another building (UG2). They have shuttle facility for easy transportation. The mess food is hygienic and healthy too.

The students are not allowed to roam in the campus after 10pm. However on weekend, they can do up-to 11pm.
