I am doing my graduation from open university. Will there will be problem in UPSC INTERVIEW or BANK INTERVIEW? Will it affect my marks if Im from open university?

pdwords Student Expert 26th May, 2021
Hello,

No, there will not be any problem regarding the fact that you have done your graduation from open university because education in distance mode has become prevalent nowadays and due to the pandemic the entire education has become digital in one way or other, see in UPSC or banking or any other interview it's obvious you will be asked about your graduation subject, so prepare well in that regard, it shouldn't look as if you have pursued your graduation through distance mode and you're not well acquainted with your own area of studies, this might land you in trouble, but remember that if you reach to the stage of interview then you have obviously qualified the previous rounds and that shows your capability, and interview is more of personality test to know about your attributes, how capable you are of handling the job that you have applied for, so a decent understanding of business, economy and banking system say in case of banking exam is important, if you feel under confident regarding your profile that do something regarding this, as in explore options of pursuing internships, or doing work in part time basis, or even working for NGOs, whatever which interests you so that you can show the interview panel your diversity and how well you have utilized the time, other than this there isn't much to worry about, there have been many candidates who have qualified  government exams with distance education degree.

If i work as a clerk at a bank. Can i sit on bank po exam without giving my resign? Can i have to resign before selection in po or can i give resign after final selection as a po?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 1st Jul, 2021

hi,

This will not a wise decision to leave a job before confirming for a new position. every organization has some rules and employee have to maintain this.

some of the organization has year of bond rules, if you leave the job before the bond period you have to return  the bond money to the organization as a compensation. also employee have to inform the organization before a certain period before leaving the company.

so it would be best to discuss this with the organization head/ HR or go through again the joining description of the work position  you are currently having to clarify the rules.

You can start by fixing a timetable where you spend time everyday solving problems related to aptitude questions. If you are preparing for a exam in particular then please mention the same and we may be able to suggest you some of the best materials for that.

Please don't think that It's impossible for you. Rather think positively and prosper.

Also the solution to all your studies related problems is to have dedication and proper concentration.

I understand it becomes really difficult to concentrate on your studies, specially during this time.

Below I will share some tips that will help you to concentrate better:

  • Find a time which is best suitable for you to study. Some find it better to concentrate in the morning while others find they can do better in the night.

  • Decide what portions you would like to finish in that particular day

  • Prepare a timetable according to the above, keeping slots for breaks

  • Start studying with your favorite subject, so that you don’t get bored from the beginning itself

  • Take breaks when you get bored, and try to avoid studying at a stretch for a longer duration.

  • Always keep some time apart for your hobbies, exercise, etc.

  • Eat healthy food, sleep well and also socialize. A healthy mind is the most important for good concentration

  • Do some mind games like Sudoku, Crossword puzzles, Chess, etc

  • Also try meditation

I hope my answer helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!

Anurag Khanna 6th May, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

No, it is not late even this is the right time to just learn from your prior experiences and prepare again for the SBI exams, As you are of 23 years so you are eligible for both posts SBI PO as well as SBI Clerk. For SBI PO maximum age limit is 30 years and that for SBI Clerk is 28 years so now don't waste your time just start preparing for any of the post you are interested or if you find difficult to crack SBI PO then just go for SBI Clerk because it is little easy in comparison to that of SBI PO and also there is no interview in SBI Clerk examination. As we are seeing the rapid increase in the unemployment due to COVID-19, so don't be the part of it just come out of it and shine like a star.

I am enlisting down some tips which would help you in your preparation of SBI Clerk :-

**Improve your English language, you should good with different adjectives, pronouns, prepositions, etc and also you should have proper knowledge of sentence making.

**Make your reasoning power strong because in prelims as well as in mains reasoning aptitude is there. There are some sites using which you can make your reasoning ability strong

**Keep yourself updated with latest financial trends and make a daily habit of reading newspaper.

**Also be updated with all the latest trends circulating around us and have a knowledge of all current scenarios which we can say as current affairs.
