is biology complusory for viteee???

Ashish Ramtari 13th Dec, 2021

No, Biology is not that compulsory for giving Vellore Institute of Technology Entrance Examination. The candidate must have scored at least 60% marks in the aggregate of Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or Physics, Chemistry and Biology in the previous qualifying examination. However there is a huge difference for reserved categories that they have to score only 50% marks in the previous qualifying examination for being eligible for the examination.

sir recently I have seen one answer In career 360 that student with biology additional subjects will be not given admission according to recent law. iam also student biolagy as additional subject student. iam not eligible to get addmission in mbbs sir

ayushshrivastwa84 12th Dec, 2021

Hello aspirant ,

No it's not like that, YOU CAN GET ADMISSION IN MBBS. You just need to have biology during your 11th and 12th class it doesn't matter if you have Maths or not. If you have maths then it opens the door for JEE and other entrance exams.

  • Neet -: Physics , Chemistry, Biology (compulsory)+ any subject you want you can have that just need to have biology.

Hope this will help you.

I am a student of class X I am a bit confused of which stream to pursue in XI as I do not want to do a job or pursue an ordinary life after i complete my college I want to do research on Human biology and explore more about Human cells reverse ageing I want to dedicate my whole life to human science

mrinalini048 20th Jan, 2022

Hey!

Students who have passed class tenth must now prepare for the next step, which is to select a course to pursue following class ten. Because Science, Arts, and Commerce courses are available beyond 10th grade, this needs some consideration and investigation. Not only that, but kids interested in a job-oriented curriculum may need to look into post-tenth-grade courses that allow for placement after graduation.

If you are confused about which stream to choose, then you should look over each stream before deciding. You may read the article, the link for which is provided below for a brief overview of all the streams after class 10th.

But if you are sure you want to pursue science stream, you can go with it and you can look the career prospects the course offers and scope of it.

I am Class X student I find Biology very interesting and easy to me but for pursuing i hv to take PCB stream where i find Physics a bit confusing I dont want to leave Bio as i want to make discoveries in it in future so pls tell me what to take ??

piyush singh 20th Jan, 2022

Hello ,

You don't have any other option than to choose PCB(Physics Chemistry Biology)  or PCBM(Physics Chemistry Biology Mathematics)  both of which have Physics , if you really want to study biology and want a future in this field you have pursue Physics also at least till class  12.

So many students find physics as a confusing student but it is very interesting if you dedicate some time to learning concepts which your teachers can teach you .There are so many Physics content available for free on the Internet which can easily create your interest in this subject .So you should take PCB and start learning physics as there is no other better option.

Hope this helps.

I have passed my 12th with Physics, Chemistry and Math in 2020. Now, I want to participate in NEET programme which needs biology as compulsory in 12th. So, is there any way to do 12th with biology only and its validity in NEET?

AVINASH KUMAR 9th Dec, 2021

Dear aspirant hope you are doing well. No it is not possible to give neet ug exam without biology as you know it's a Compulsory subject. As there is no age limit for need ug exam, so you can repeat 12 with pcb subject with recognized board. Then you can give neet ug exam in upcoming year. Hope it's helpful .
