Hi
I am guessing that it is about class 10th CBSE board.
Yes, you can definitely choose Biology for your 10 + 2 in science stream even if you take standard maths in your class 10th .
The additional benefit of choosing standard maths is you are always free to choose maths for your 10 + 2
In 10th cbse board, there are 2 options for maths.
----------) Standard maths : - it is for those who want to study maths after 10th like those who wants to have science with MATHS i. e PCM for 11th and 12th.
----------) Basic maths :- it is for those who don't want to study maths after 10th like those who wants to science with Biology i. e PCB, commerce, arts etc in 10+2.
To help you further,
Here are the options after 10th :-
* 10+ 2 :-
You have to choose any one of science Commerce , Arts/Humanities streams.
---------)Science :-The science stream can be further divided into 3 groups depending upon the subjects one chooses
****** Non medical :- Science with PCM i.e physics, chemistry , maths group. There's no biology in PCM group.
You should basically choose this if you want to pursue engineering/architecture etc in future.
****** Medical :- Science with PCB i.e physics, chemistry biology.
You should choose PCB group if you want to get into medical field like mbbs, bds, nursing etc in future .
****** PCMB :- You can even go for science with PCMB i.e physics Chemistry Maths and Biology if you are interested in studying both Maths and Biology in your 10+2. But yes, it becomes a bit difficult to handle both biology and Maths. One advantage of choosing pcmb is after 10+2 you can go for both medical courses like MBBS, bams, nursing etc and non medical courses like engineering as well.
-----------)Commerce :- You get to study subjects like Accounts, Business studies, Economics & Maths ,Commerce etc. If you want to become a chartered accountant, company secretary, financial advisor etc in future, then commerce is for you. In commerce you acquire commercial knowledge required for business.
------------)Arts :- If you like subjects like history, polity etc then you can go for Arts. You get to study subjects like History, Geography, Literature, Political Science, economics etc. You should go for arts if you aspire to get into Journalism, literature, languages, history, psychology etc.
****** Polytechnic / Diploma in engineering :- After your 10th you can go for diploma courses in various branches of Engineering like mechanical, Electrical, Civil etc on the basis of your interest.
****** ITI :- ITI is a skill development course which you can go for after your 10th , you can do iti any trade of your choice like Electrician, fitter, Welder etc.
****** Paramedical courses :- after your 10th you can go for various paramedical courses for which you can get detailed information at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/paramedical-courses-after-10th-12th

Thank you
Hello
If you take standard method is that means basic mathematics then you will get another code and you question paper will be separate the answer will be also the separate but in this case you will be eligible for taking physics chemistry and biology also in science. So there is no alternate option for taking mathematics with physics chemistry and biology.
This helps.
As per the neet brochure, any student having biology or additional biology or biotechnology in class 11 and 12 is elligible in neet.
So their will not be any problem in any medical colleges of India including Calcutta National Medical College.
You are 100% elligible for counselling.
Hello there,
Hope you are doing well . You should produce that marksheet which shows your biology marks as it's one of the prime subjects for neet . So even though you did it from nios ,you should that one .
You can have details of the colleges you can get into based on your NEET AIR and category by the link given below :

You can have a better idea of the expected cutoffs by viewing the past year cutoffs through the link below:

Hi, the information that you have shared is a little incomplete. Where do you wish to pursue your degree? What degree do you wish to pursue? If you wish to study MBBS in Russia then Students have to qualify the class 12th examination and obtain marks according to the set Medical Council of India (MCI) guidelines. There is an MCI screening test for students applying for admission in Russia and a No Objection Certificate (NOC) has to be obtained from the same to be eligible. If you still have doubts feel free to comment. Hope this helps.
Hope you are doing well . Yes, you are doing right . If you are following the books that you have mentioned in the question then you're definitely going to score good in Biology .
I'll add a few points which you can follow to score even better in Biology . See, from the past 2&3 years Biology is being framed strictly from the NCERT textbooks of Class 11th and 12th. So, you should read biology NCERT as many times as possible and highlight and revise those parts which you tend to forget easily . Also, don't skip the summary which is given at the end of each chapter.
Learn all the labellings of the diagrams given in the two books properly and also the tables and flowcharts that are there . There's no need to refer to any other book for Biology .
Also ,you can practice the last 5 years AIIMS biology questions to have a firm grip on the concepts .
While practising ,the questions which you couldn't do in one go , mark them and then revise them frequently .
I'll like to focus on some units like Biotechnology,Ecology and Genetics . This year there were 1-2 questions from these units which were a bit tricky . So ,do read and UNDERSTAND these chapters and analyse all data given properly.
In fact I must tell you that doing AIIMS pyqs atleast last 5 years ,NCERT at fingertips for biology ,Neet biology pyqs last 10 years alongwith thorough NCERT reading would have sufficed.
If you are doing the above things along with following the books you mentioned,I can guarantee you a score of 340+ in Biology in NEET.
If you want to prepare for neet 2022,here are some useful resources which you can use to strengthen you preparation.
Hope my answer helped.
Hope you are doing well. See ,you need to have biology as one of your main subjects in 11th and 12th standards to be eligible for admissions into medical colleges be it here or abroad and you also need to have appeared for the board exams of the subject and have a marksheet and passing certificate displaying your marks in that .
Also ,you should keep in mind that you need to have passed in the individual subjects for ex: in CBSE,the candidate needs to have atleast 50% marks in the individual subjects.
