Hello aspirant

Yes you are eligible for appearing Neet.

As you belong to sc category,  minimum marks to appear in Neet for sc category candidate are 40% in each of physics,  chemistry and biology.

You have got 64 +37 = 101 marks in biology.

33 + 25 = 58 in physics

33 + 25 = 58 in chemistry.

Eligibility criteria for sc candidate for  Neet 2024

which is better msc or b.tech for biology related courses

Tanya Gupta 17th Jan, 2024

Hello,

When it comes to biology related courses, it really depends on your career goals and interests. If you're more inclined towards research then pursuing an MSc in Biology might be a good fit for you. It allows you to delve deeper into the subject and gain specialized knowledge.

On the other hand, if you're interested in a career that involves practical applications of biology such as biotechnology or bioengineering then a B.Tech in Biotechnology or a related field could be a better choice. It focuses more on the technical aspects and hands on skills.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

I am Student of class 12 with physics , chemistry , biology , english and physical education as main subjects. Math is my 6th (additional subject) . Now my question is can I give jee mains with math as 6th subject and can I also take admission in engineering college.

Ishita 20th Jul, 2024

Hello Aspirant

Admission into an Engineering college requires you to have Science (Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology is not required) in your 11th and 12th grades. Seeing you had all these subjects in your school, you are eligible to appear for the JEE exam. You just make sure you scored 50%+ in your 12th grade, that is one of the eligibility criteria.  They don't mind that Math was your 5th or 6th subject, they just need Math in your core papers.

Getting admission to a good Engineering college depends on the score you get in the JEE Mains and JEE Advance exams.

Here is a link to the Careers360 College predictor that will help you narrow down your choices- https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-college-predictor

Hope this helps

i have done 12 from cbse with maths group can i do 12 with bio as an additional subject from nios ? if yes then hat is the minimum compulsory time period to complete this? means I dont want to repersue pcm subjects again i Just need biology as one more subject

Tanya Gupta 14th Jan, 2024

Hello,

Certainly, you are allowed to give only one exam from NIOS. You can give only biology exam from National Institute of Open Schooling(NIOS) but for that the requirement is that you should have completed your 12th standard. Which means that you should have passed your 12th standard exams to be eligible to give biology exam from NIOS .

I hope this helps,

Thank you

class11 biology base chapter for class 12

Nikita shahi 10th Jul, 2025
Hello, hope you are doing well
As many students think that class 12 is hard, but if their  class 11 basics are clear, they don't have to face any problems. The topics you had studied in Class 11 build the foundation for advanced chapters in Class 12, especially for students preparing for NEET , CUET or other entrance exams. Class 11 is more about understanding concepts, while Class 12 applies those concepts in detail.
Some of the most important Class 11 chapters that form the base for Class 12 Biology are:
1. Cell: The Unit of Life – This is a key chapter that helps you understand how cells work. In Class 12, you study Cell Cycle and Cell Division, these chapters come up again when you study .
2. Biomolecules – This chapter explains the basic chemical molecules like carbohydrates, proteins, enzymes, etc., which you will see some questions in NEET directly based on Molecular Biology and Biotechnology.
3. Plant Physiology – Topics like Photosynthesis and Respiration in Plants are very important, and if you go deeper into the same topic like plant growth, hormones, and reproduction they have some similarities.
4. Human Physiology – This unit includes chapters on digestion, respiration, excretion, circulation, nervous control, and locomotion. These directly help in understanding topics like Human Reproduction, Reproductive Health, and the Nervous System.
5. Structural Organisation in Animals and Plants – This builds the base for chapters like Organisms and Populations, Evolution, and Biotechnology.
6. Diversity of Living Organisms – Although this is more factual, it helps in understanding taxonomy and classification in chapters.
The NCERT Biology textbook is considered the most reliable source for concept clarity and exam preparation for both boards as well as entrance level also. But if you're studying from a state board that does not follow NCERT directly, it's important to visit your state board’s official website or refer to your syllabus to check the exact chapter flow and topic coverage. Some state boards align closely with NCERT, while others have their own structure. If you're entering Class 12, it’s a good idea to revise important Class 11 topics again especially if you want to do well in school boards and competitive exams
