Board exams
For each category mentioned above, three brackets of Scholarship (Bracket 1, 2 and 3) are defined. Each bracket represents specific criteria (for example scores in qualifying exam) which an applicant has to reach for him/her to fall in that particular bracket. The criteria in each bracket decreases as it proceeds and so does the scholarships. So, the students meeting the requirement of Bracket- 1 gets the highest Scholarship and those in Bracket - 2 or 3 gets relatively lesser scholarship.
Scholarship Phases:
The amount of Scholarship also depends on the Phase in which the candidate takes Admission in the University. Admissions in LPU is done in different Phases, which are bifurcations of the Admission time period. Phase I starts as early as January and continues till the end of April. The subsequent phases (Phase II, III, IV) are conducted only if the seats in the concerned Programme remain vacant. The amount of Scholarship reduces with each passing phase

If you have applied for JEE Main (Jan) or planning to apply (JEE Main April), then scoring well in this exam may get you admission into a NIT/IIIT/CFTI.
Also, you may apply to some private colleges, in case you don't get a satisfactory rank in JEE Main.
Hello!
I'll get straight to the point!
Engineering:
KCET: KCET ranking depends upon both, your board as well as CET marks! Hence, write your board exams well! My personal experience goes like - I didn't do my CET well, but because of my board percentage which was quite high, I was able to bag good ranking!
JEE and NATA: JEE and NATA ranking does not depend upon your board marks. So you bag qualifying marks in your boards and work hard for your JEE exam! That'll do it!
Medicals:
NEET: Again! Just like JEE, NEET ranking does not depend on your board marks! But it is to remember that NEET questions is based on your board portions, so preparing for boards will help you prepare for NEET as well!
Bachelor's in Science, Arts and Commerce:
Here my dear friend, yes, board marks play a very important role! The higher the percentage, better will be the colleges you can get! In order to get admitted into your dream college, you have to get good marks in your board exams.
Note:
Because of the increasing competition where every student is able to bag a good CGPA or SGPA, companies showing up in your campus will not only consider your semester marks but will check your board percentage as well!
Conclusion:
Let us agree that in this poor education system where theoretical learning is given more importance than practical learning, marks play a very important role! Thus, you should go ahead and work hard because no matter what, higher your marks, higher will be your chances in this fast moving life!
Masum, if you have checked the official NEET syllabus, it is all from your 11th and 12th Physics, Chemistry and Biology. So you can actually prepare for NEET and your boards at the same time. There are Candidates who take break from academics and then seriously prepare for NEET. The statistics state that it works for few and it doesn't work for few. Our suggestion would be to appear for NEET 2020 and see how it goes. Check your performance and wait until the counselling is over to check if you can get a seat. Based on your marks, in NEET, may be you can take a call accordingly. We at Careers360 have online preparatory courses for Medical aspirants.
