This is the first time that VIT had to cancel its entrance examination and conduct admissions based on Board exams and JEE Mains. And it has also been announced that weightage will be given to JEE Mains score. While the marking and weightage scheme has not been announced yet, this answer is being written with general information. Once VIT releases any official information regarding the weightage and marking scheme, we would be able to answer your question with more relevant information. VITEEE doesn't have any reservation and so all Candidates are considered under Open merit alone. And you haven't mentioned your 12th aggregate. But if JEE Mains weightage is considered, 81.2 percentile might be a tad less for top Branches. But you might still get a seat in subsequent rounds of Counselling.
Hello learner,
VITEEE exam is the gate pass for the candidates applying for the undergraduate Engineering admissions at VIT. Since it is practically impossible to conduct an offline exam in this corona Pandemic, the exams are cancelled.
In order to get into VIT, the candidate should have 60% aggregate of PCM/PCB in the qualifying examination, perhaps the board exams. So, it wholly depends on the scores that you have scored in your majors. On the other hand, JEE Mains score can be contemplated, in case if you're pushed at the edge of your screening. But JEE Mains score is not significantly considered, for VIT admissions.
In addition, your probability of getting in will rely on the Category which you belong to, No of applicants and their competitive scores. Since, you have good board percentile, there is a good chance of getting admissions in the stream you desire.
Good Luck!

Hope this helps.
If You are going totally determined for JEE then you need not worry about about you board exams. While preparing of the JEE exams keep fundamentals of all subjects clear , solve the past years papers to get an idea about the toughness of the JEE Mains exam and you gat an idea about time management too.
Pay full concentration while studying NCERT so that this will help in clearing fundamentals. Try solving more numericals so to have a practice.
Also study the non jee subjects like English or Social Science subjects on weekends on a daily basis so that it won't be a burden at the time of examination.
The board exams won't be of much trouble for you if you prepare with full hardwork.
Thank you & All the best!!!!!
