Book
Hello Aspirant,
In order to prepare for Quantum Mechanics for IIT JAM Physics,
Quantum Mechanics - By Zetili / Griffith / Schaum's Series
is one of the highly suggested books. This book is recommended if you want to gain a thorough knowledge of the subject.
However, there are other alternatives to this book which can be considered as well.
Thank you!
In order to prepare for Mathematical Physics for IIT JAM :
is one of the highly recommended books.
However, since it is very lengthy in nature, it is suggested to read the topics individually from the books by the following authors
However, if you only want to buy one book, then
is a good choice.
Thank you.
Dear Student,
As of a mathematics stream student who have no idea about the biology you can refer:
these book are enough and covers all the topics that can appear in the test paper for biology section. And I am hoping you have studied well in physics and chemistry as they have the same topics form 11th and 12th standard that you have already covered in your intermediate.
You didn't mentioned the name of the stream or the university under which you are studying the course. So its not possible to give conclusive answers. Although if you wish to get the books then you should consider the official syllabus of your university and there you will find the recommended books which will help you as well as you can contact your college teachers. This will recommend you more your university oriented study material.
I hope this helps. All the very best for your future endeavors!
Hello! I myself took a drop and landed a seat in one of the government colleges offering MBBS In Delhi. So hang in there and take note.
Your first and foremost work is to analyse your last paper and chart out the major problem areas. You should know your strong and weak areas so that you can approach it effectively.
As a dropper we have an amazing advantage, we already know most of the things. We know how to approach the subjects and what are the major important chapters. Once done, your strategy will be to master the weak areas and at the same to not ignore the strong areas.
Next thing is to practice a lot! Take this as your last chance so don’t leave any space for regrets. You can use any coachings’ materials and Qbanks for this. I do not recommend any in particular. The only thing is that you should understand why you approached this question in that particular way. Needless to mention NCERT should be covered cover to cover.
Another important thing is to solve PYQs multiple times! Give lots of full syllabus tests and always analyse your scores and what mistakes you made- silly errors or genuine conceptual gaps. This is how the tests will actually give you a benefit and help improve your score.
Finally for the final exam, target 650+ marks irrespective of your quotas and categories. Try your level best and don’t let anyone tell you where to limit yourself. Wishing you all the very best!
Hello
See what actually matters is your understanding of the subject. You can solve HC Verma ten times but if you don’t understand the logic and solve the calculations yourself, it is nothing but a waste of time. As such HC Verma is no benchmark, solving or not solving this one book doesn’t make or break your chances to get the college of your dreams.
Another thing I must mention is that we are trying to get MBBS/BDS/other allied seats and not a Phd in physics. So learn to limit yourself as well.
Coming to physics in specific, there are many books to choose from. HC Verma is a bold choice. I would advice you to solve the important chapters entirely while the lesser important chapters can be done superficially. You need to understand that this book is originally meant for Engineering and is authored by an IIT professor. It is detailed and elaborated in ways which might be much beyond the scope of a medical aspirant.
To solve this dilemma, before starting any chapter, go through previous year questions asked from that chapter. It’s okay if you don’t understand much, we just want to gauge the level expected from us.
Always feel free to modify your strategy as per your needs. Hope this helps you. Goodluck!
