Book
Preparing with the right strategy and from the right book is the key to success for any entrance examination/competitive examination.
Now for NEET we have three subjects i.e., Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Among all this subject the NEET aspirants are obviously more interested in Biology and Chemistry than Physics. So lets start with the interesting parts.
For Biology you need to have concepts of the process and a lot of information to remember. So studying from multiple books will be required in order to get most information based on the syllabus of NEET.
NCERT Biology Class XI and Class XII textbooks
Biology Vol 1 and Vol 2 by Trueman
Objective Biology by Dinesh
Objective Botany by Ansari
Pradeep Guide on Biology
GR Bathla publications for Biology
This are some of the books. Now you don't have to do it all. I would say read NCER BIOLOGY for basic knowledge then for Objective Bio and Botany books for more information and practicing questions. This will suffice your purpose for NEET. And as you know NEET has a lot of weightage in Biology compared to other subjects.
Now for Chemistry, the most important portions are the Inorganic and Organic Chemistry. Physical Chemistry is relatively easier than this two portions. The books you can follow:
NCERT Chemistry textbooks for Class XI and XII
Physical Chemistry by OP Tandon
ABC of Chemistry for Classes 11 and 12 by Modern
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by JD Lee
Dinesh Chemistry Guide
Practise books by VK Jaiswal (Inorganic), MS Chauhan (Organic) and N Awasthi (Physical)
Bold books are the must ones.
Now lets talk about the hard part (for most NEET aspirants) i.e., Physics. Physics needs mathematics skills as well as Conceptual skills and most importantly the capability of visualization. So to build your basic I would recommend you to follow NCERT. Once you are done with NCERT go for Concept of Physics Vol-1and2. Practice the problems of HCV,, they will build your problem solving skills. Now you should have practice problems as your concepts are build. So you can follow DC PANDEY/BM SHARMA sir's physics books set for practicing problems. If you do it solely then your concepts will be build enough strong to compete in NEET.
**Also you should focus on the problem solving more in order to build up your accuracy in a constricted time.

Hello Aspirant,
Since you have not mentioned the name of examination for which you are seeking guidance releated to books so it is little bit difficult to guide you with an accurate information but if we go through your profile than it shows that you are an engineering aspirant so you might be interested in JEE-Main related assistance, if not then please correct me in the comment section below.
So yes JEE-Main syllabus is the combined syllabus of class 11th and 12th so you must go through NCERT textbooks of all subjects and apart from those you should have some reference books for practice which I am enlisting down :-
@Physics
Concepts of Physics-H. C. Verma
Fundamentals of Physics-Halliday, Resnick and Walker
Problems in General Physics-I. E. Irodov
University Physics-Freedman and Young
Understanding JEE physics series-DC Pandey
Problem In Physics-SS Krotov
@Mathematics
Higher Algebra-Hall and Knight
Coordinate Geometry-S.L. Loney
Differential and Integral Calculus-N. Piskunov
Calculus and Analytic Geometry-Thomas and Finney
IIT Mathematics for JEE Main & Advanced-M.L. Khanna
Course in Mathematics for IIT-JEE-Tata McGraw Hill publication
Problems Plus in IIT Mathematics-A Das Gupta
Trigonometry-S L Loney
@Chemistry
Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations-RC Mukherjee
Organic Chemistry-Solomons and Fryhle
Concise Inorganic-J. D. Lee
Organic Chemistry-Morrison and Boyd
University Chemistry-Freedman and Young
Physical Chemistry-N Awasthi
Arihant's Practice Book Chemistry for JEE Main And Advanced-R.K Gupta

Good Luck!!
Your query seems incomplete. You haven't specified the college that you are referring to. Please specify the college name for which you want to book the slot for counseling. It will help me answer your query better.
Thank You!
Hay!
I hope you are fit and fine.
Now coming back to your question that is NCERT sufficient for IIT JEE and Main or not?
Before this answer me a question.
Are you clear with basics of subjects and topics of 11th and 12th?
If you are already good with basics then NCERT is sufficient for VITEE and also for JEE Main and JEE Advanced but for JEE Advanced you have to refer to some other tough books for problem solving and higher concepts too.
See, what i have seen generally is that in NCERT, there is not enough explanation if someone is beginning his/her some topics and there are many things which you might find not relevant toVIT exam or JEE exam and those are for board but if you are done with some basics, you can totally rely on NCERT and infact it can fetch you good marks.
Having said that you must not ignore the problem solving part and for this you will have to refer some goods books which are very popular in market and suitable for you.
I hope this answer helps you.
All the very best!!
Dear student,
Below I am mentioning some of the best books that can help you in preparation of Chemistry part in VIT exam.
Please have a look below.
NCERT (class 11th and 12th)
Concise Inorganic Chemistry by J. D. LEE
Organic Chemistry by O. P. Tandon
Handbook of Chemistry by R.P. Singh
Advanced Problems in Organic Chemistry by H Pandey
Numerical Chemistry by P. Bahadur
Organic Chemistry by Morrison Boyd.
Modern Approach to Chemical Calculations by R.C. Mukherjee
As you prepare for NEET, both books are excellent. If you want to select between these two, you have to make a decision. Arihant is a better option. You should check it out. This book is organized by topic and chapter. You will be able to make greater use of that information.
