B.O.T.
In 2019, under State Quota, an All India Rank of 37846 was the cut off rank for AU Region female and the cut off rank for SVU was 43744. This was approximately a marks range of 400-450. But now this is 2019 data and cut offs change every year. AP has 1% reservation for CAP. But with a score of 434, you might fall short by few marks for a Government Quota seat in Private Medical Colleges. You might get a seat in Management Quota. Having said that, this is based on 2019 data and cut offs change every year. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. Hi,
If you have chosen Life Sciences as a stream for UGC NET, it would be best to choose the subjects which include life sciences. So, the best option would be to choose M.Sc in Botany/Zoology to make it ease. It would be a better option and at last, it all depends upon your area of interests.
Dear Applicant,
I hope you ate doing well.
You see if you want to clear UCG NET in life sciences I would suggest u to study MSC in life sciences only as it will help you along.
The MSc syllabus in life sciences is basically the syllabus for NET. You will learn Microbiology and few things in Animal and Plant. So with this you dont have to put extra time specifically for NET. Your preparation for MSc will serve to be enough for NET. So if possible go for MSC in life sciences.
It's ok to take other subjects but they wont necessarily help you out much because individually zoology or botony are all a part of life sciences so if you study MSC in botony you wont get exposure to zoology so you will need to put more effort to gain that knowledge.
Hope this helps
Hello,
In my opinion Msc. biotechnology has more scope in the future as this field is focused on biology as well as chemistry field of technology along with that design and engineering which leads to implement in the field of medicine and engineering technology. After Mater the students can get their opportunity in medical, science, technology and pharmacy sector. Moreover, it is the career orientated course. While in case of msc in pure science also many options related to career but not much as Msc. biotechnology.
for MD in Psychiatry, you should have had a Medical degree like MBBS, BDS, BHMS, etc. But with BOT you cannot pursue MD in Psychiatry. You can pursue post graduation degree after BOT like M.Sc in Psychology and then opt for either a M. Phil or a Ph

See BOT stands for Bachelor of Occupational Therapy. It is an undergraduate course of 4-5 years and there is no any requirement of NEET score for admission to this course. But yes you need to pass your 10+2 from a recognized educational board. Some colleges are there which requires entrance exam for this but most of the colleges takes direct admission through 10+2 eligibility criteria.
Some entrance tests for BOT in India are :-
