What are the government job opportunities available by doing Bsc data science and its Msc? Is there any chance to get into RBI grade B DSIM/DEPR, NABARD, IES, ISS, SBI, Rail, SSC CGL, SSC JSO, ISRO, DRDO and top graded jobs other than IAS, IPS?

Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 9th Apr, 2020

hi,

see once you complete your graduation course in any discipline you are eligible to give ssc cgl, rbi assistant, sbi po, sbi clerk etc exams. however data science deals with statistics and it has good career scope in mncs companies,. but for government sector , there is less recruitment now for data science specialist. however data science includes topics like statistics, probability, set theory and discreet mathematics. so you should take bsc in data science if you have eagerness to learnt these courses.

what is the difference between data analyst and business analyst and also confirm the course and qualification required for both and further scope in the same field.

TANUJ JAIN 24th Feb, 2020

Hi Saurabh!

In smaller organizations, these job titles may be used interchangeably to describe roles that involve data or system analysis. Larger organizations, however, often employ both data analysts and business analysts, making the differences between the two careers important to understand.

While data analysts and business analysts both work with data, the main difference lies in what they do with it. Business analysts use data to help organizations make more effective business decisions, while data analysts are more interested in gathering and analyzing data for the business to evaluate and use to make decisions on their own.

Qualification:

A bachelor's degree in business or related field or an MBA. A bachelor's degree is needed for most entry-level jobs, and a master's degree will be needed for many upper-level jobs.

Scope:

Today, data analytics has become a big career option in India.Data analysts with more than 5 years of experience often earn up to 15 lakhs per annum.

Business analysts' profiles are gaining popularity in India and worldwide and the scope is also expanding. Gaining valuable insights from data has become the top priority for every organization so they are looking for business analysts.

Hoping this was helpful!

I have completed BBA from Distance edu. Please confirm the name of degree/diploma or certificate through which i can become Business Analyst. Name the entrance exam through which i can get the admission in those colleges in Delhi. Can i complete these course online or without leaving my current job,

Aditi amrendra Student Expert 24th Feb, 2020
Hello,

There is no entrance exam if you want to do Business Analytics course. You can do it online as well as offline. It is basically a Certificate course.
The duration of the course ranges from 6 months to 1 year.
Or you can do a full 2 years post graduate diploma in business analytics (PGDBA- which is jointly offered by IIT Kharagpur, IIM Calcutta and ISI Kolkata although the fees is very high for this course (20 lakhs) but pavement record is 100%.

ISB offers a 15 months parts time course in Business analytics.

Business Analytics & Intelligence provides by Indian Institute of Management (IIM B) in part time online and classroom program.

generally there is no entrance exam for admission into these courses.

I hope this helps.

Hi Vinnakota,

As you have secured a good percentile score in SNAP exam. As you have secured only 94.18 percentile in SNAP you would only get call from Symbiosis institutes. On the percentile secured by you, you have a chance to get good colleges. The colleges you get are:

SIIB Pune

SIBM Bangalore

SIOM Nashik

SICSR Pune

SCIT Pune

SIMS Pune

SSBF Pune

Symbiosis Institute of business, Hyderabad-- MBA Course

SIHS Pune --- MBA IN hospital management

SSSS Pune--- MBA in sports management

these are the colleges, from which you would get a call on the basis of your SNAP percentile.

SAKSHI KULSHRESHTHA 12th Jan, 2020

Niranjana, with 94.18 percentile, you can get a call from most colleges like SIIB Pune and SIBM Bangalore. Although SIBM Pune and SCMHRD Pune are not possible for now as they require a percentile of 98 and 97 percentile respectively.

Now you can get a call from the other colleges since you have a good SNAP percentile. Also your academic performance and work experience are also good. You can get a call from the colleges for the subsequent rounds.

Now the SNAP score accounts for only 50 marks. The remaining 50 marks can be obtained through Group exercise (10 marks), Personal interview (30 marks) and Written ability test (10 marks). You need to ace these rounds to convert the call into final admission at these institutions. All the best.
