No, it won't affect your class 12th negatively. You can prepare for both JEE and board examination together because it's not like you have to separately prepare for board and Jee as the syllabus is almost ,the same the only difference is that Jee is objective while your board

As you have mentioned that you will be allowed to sit in placements in Ramapuram campus only if your percentage in 12th is 60%, so let me tell you that in SRM entrance examination the minimum criteria usually stays above 50% in every college.
