I have completed my DEGREE IN BSc MATHEMATICS. I DONT WANT TO TAKE PG. IS CA IS A GOOD OPTION FOR ME? What are the procedures to study CA C?

Twinkle yadav 22nd Apr, 2019

Hello,Abhijith

Chartered Accountancy has always been highly demanding and also highly paying. As you have completed your BSC mathematics you not be required to appear for CPT,you can directly start from Ipcc. You will intially find it difficult to get hold of accounts as you are from different background but slowly you can get hold of it.For the direct entry scheme students from other than commerce background will need to 60% marks in graduation other wise you will not be eligible for direct entry to IPCC.You can join some top coaching to get good guidance and start preparing. Also there are many exemption rules applicable in IPCC which makes it difficult to clear. After your IPCC you will have to do 3 year articleship and then CA final.Becoming a CA is not easy but also not impossible if you are passionate about it you will clear it.

So it depends on you were you can give enough time to study or not, will you be able to cope up with new subjects.

Samridhi Rai 22nd Apr, 2019

There is no such thing as impossible for being a CA student. Anyone and everyone can give it a try until and unless they meet the beasic eligibility criteria. You should be fine as long as you ahve a deep interest in commerce and have a background in it too.

currently I am persuing CA and got 85.25%in 12th so will sol colleges of du good for me or not

Surita Chakma 31st May, 2019

Hello Vidhi,

Your class 12th percentage is good and you can get admission in regular college of DU as well. But since you're doing CA, I suppose you want to complete your undergraduation through correspondence. If that's the case, SOL(School of Open Learning) is a good option as you can concentrate on your CA studies as there is no regular class held for SOL.

However, if you really want to complete graduation through regular college, you should apply for regular Undergraduate admission for DU.

Best Wishes!

I have got 86.92% in hsc exams. I"m doing CA. Plzz suggest me good b.com colleges where there are no attendance issues & with less fees....

Amita Marotkar 31st May, 2019

Hello sapna!

Considering that you live in mumbai and the colleges in mumbai are not really supportive for CA students regarding attendence and assignments. Also, some colleges also have minimum 75% attendence requirement to appear in the final exams/ semester exams.

I would suggest you to consider B.com from IGNOU where there is no hassle for you to attend college and you just have to appear for 3 papers in june and december each year.Fees is not even an issue with IGNOU.

But if you still want to do it from a college then consider these;

1) Sydenham, Churchgate

2) RD National college, Bandra

3) MMK College, Bandra

All the best!

1) Vinayak GAnesh Vaze college

2) Singhania university

3) SM Institute of management

4) Kelkar Education trust

5) Sudarshan college of arts and commerce.

i want best ca institutes in chennai

Preksha Ghanathay 11th May, 2019

Dear Chandrasekar,

These are some of the institution on top of the Chennai City for CA coaching:

1) MT educare

2.RR academy

3.Sree gurukripa

4.Prime academy

5.Eten CA

The above are the once that most of them could prefer.

But instead of going to class try to study on your own which could increase your self learning attitude which is necessary for an CA since it is a field were everything is updated day to day where u can not go to institution for learning each time.

"Self learning is vital for a CA Aspirins"

HOPE THIS INFO IS HELPFUL!!!
