Chemistry
In JEE Mains, the inorganic chemistry part of the periodic table focuses on trends in properties of elements across periods and down groups.
Atomic Radius: It decreases across a period from left to right because the nucleus has more protons, pulling electrons closer. It increases down a group because new electron shells are added.
Ionization Energy: The energy needed to remove an electron increases across a period and decreases down a group.
Electron Affinity: It generally becomes more negative across a period and less negative down a group.
Electronegativity: It increases across a period and decreases down a group.
Metallic Character: Decreases across a period and increases down a group.
Non-metallic Character: Increases across a period and decreases down a group.
Oxidation States: Elements can show different oxidation states depending on their group. Transition metals often have multiple oxidation states.
Reactivity: For metals, reactivity increases down a group (like alkali metals). For non-metals, reactivity decreases down a group (like halogens).
These trends help predict chemical behavior, bonding, and reactions for JEE questions.
Hello Aspirant,
NEET eligibility is primarily based on ascertaining 12th PCB percentage as a whole, and not based on scores in individual sections. According to NMC rules, there is a minimum requirement of 50% aggregate grade in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology (40% for reserved categories). Since you have received a score of 483, and your scores in PCB appear to be above the minimum requirements, you are eligible for admission assuming you are eligible based on your NEET score. The only hurdle will be the government MBBS seat if the cutoff is applicable in your state.
Hello Snehetha,
No need to panic - half-yearly exams are primarily about self-diagnosis and not about deciding streams. Schools typically let students stay in PCM if they have chosen it, other than in cases of consistent lack of effort. You will simply explain your health issues to your teachers and ask for their help. You will definitely have the opportunity to make amends in the finals, so concentrate on making an effective study plan and building a strong foundation now.
Hello,
Yes, you can do B.Sc. in Computer Science after completing 2nd PUC with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Statistics .
The main requirement is Mathematics in 12th, which you already have. So, you are eligible.
Hope it helps !
Hello! Yes, you can pursue a BSc in Computer Science after completing 2nd PUC with Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Statistics. Most universities and colleges require Mathematics as a compulsory subject for BSc Computer Science admissions. Since you have Mathematics, you are eligible. However, some institutions may also consider your overall performance or require a minimum percentage in PUC. It is advisable to check the specific eligibility criteria of the college or university you wish to apply to so that you can plan accordingly.

Hii dear!
You can get notes for class 11th second chapter of chemistry 'structure of atom' at Career360 . The notes mention details about structure of atom, the experiments that led to discovery of atom, discovery of protons and neutrons, different models of atom like thomson's model, Rutherford model, bohr model, etc.
Apart from detailed notes with labelled diagram you can also practice questions at end of the notes.
Hope it helped you in understanding the chapter.
Thankyou
Certainly, you may reappear for improving in Karnataka 2nd PUC. For KCET 2026, only marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) will be considered. You have already secured good marks in Physics - 88. Therefore, you can choose to appear for just Chemistry and Mathematics only to improve. The KCET ranking would consider only the highest marks from two attempts.
Hello Uzaif
As you have gotten 88 in Physics, 75 in Chemistry and 69 in Mathematics, with overall 77% in Class 12th, you can surely give improvement exams only in Chemistry and Mathematics and even give all 3 if you wish to.
In improvement exams, you have the choice to give your choices of exams so feel free to give Chemistry and Mathematics exams only.
Thank You!!!
