Which exam is best for join in be btech

Priyanka Shahane 15th Mar, 2019
Hello Akash,
I would recommend you to go for JEE as all the top B.Tech institutes such as IITs and NITs conduct their admission process based on score of JEE Advance.
In order to appear for JEE Advance you have to first clear JEE main examination which is not that easy if you take it lightly.
In order to get proper guidance to clear this exam you can join online crash course by Entrance 360 where you will get number of video lectures, test series and much more.
To register for this course you can visit following link,

All the Best.

Sir I want to become a civil engineer

Mayur Shetti 5th Mar, 2019

Hi

So you say you want to become civil engineer. Here is the procedure

First of all you need to finish your 11 std in science you have to take maths as one of the subject because maths is compulsory for engineering admission, and when you are in the 12 std you can start applying for various exams.

Civil enginnering is offered by many colleges in India, but not all the colleges are good for eg

Your top priority should be IIT or NIT

Now if you want to get into this college you will have answer JEE Main and JEE Advanced. NITs accept JEE Main and IITs accept JEE Advanced.

If you want to crack JEE you will have to start preparing for it right from 11 std. Take some tution.

Now if you cannot get into IIT or  NIT, you should try for some top priviate universities in India. Like Manipal University or VIT

Now some private universities accept JEE Main marks, but majority of priviate colleges conduct there own entrance test.

What are job oriented courses for civil engineers

Roma Kaur 7th Mar, 2019

Hello Aspirant

Civil Engineering deals with the various aspects of planning designing, construction, maintenance and modification of physical structure and naturally built environment. This is a vast discipline which includes a lot of things under it such as structural engineering, environmental engineering, geotechnical engineering and more.

There has always been a demand for civil engineers. They are needed for the growth of the infrastructure and of the economy. There are many job prospects for civil engineers, such as

  • Bridge design technician
  • Construction engineering technician
  • Structural design technologist
  • Supervisor, architectural and engineering technologists and technicians
  • Materials testing technologist
  • Environmental technician
  • land use technician
  • Technician, civil engineering
  • Technician, road traffic
  • Urban planning technician

All the IITs in the country offer courses in civil engineering.

From the prospect of job and employability, the individual should be well-versed with the following (if not all, then at least one) -

  • 2D  - 3D Modeling

The concept of preparing reinforcement detailing, drawing elevation and plans using a drafting software. For this purpose, mostly Auto Cad is used by civil engineers.

  • Architectural Modeling

There is a significant rise in the market for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings and also the 3D Modeling of Structures. for this, Revit Architecture is mostly used. Individuals capable of understanding Revit Architecture have an edge over others.

  • Surveying Skills

Survey is an important component of any project and skills of surveying are considered very beneficial, especially in the infrastructure domain. For this, either Auto Level or Total Station are preferred. Knowledge of these is an attraction for the employer.

  • Structural Design

There is much software available for this. This is a rather simple and basic skill compared to other skills. Software such as ETABS and STAAD PRO are often used for this.

  • Estimation

This is an additional skill that is often beneficial as this comes handy for both the employer and the employee. The Microsoft Office Suite is the set of software often used for this purpose. It is used for all the balance-sheets, designing and other structural requirements.

  • Project Planning

This is again a practical skill and is very helpful. Software such as Microsoft Project or Primavera is used for project planning.

  • Urban Society Development

This is one area that is rising rapidly. A diploma in this area can add a lot of value to your CV.

  • Diplomas related to structural designs and environment

Given the awareness about the environment around the globe, this skill is a bonus to your CV and can be used to grab many opportunities.

There are many ways to learn such skills.

  • You can either join some coaching or training center to learn these skills<
