Hello Adarsh,

To identify such questions that have a high possibility of appearing in the Maharashtra Board Standard 10 Science paper, we can look for such topics that are frequently occurring in past question papers along with finding corresponding concepts within the official textbooks. You can determine such questions using the following steps:

1. Frequent Topics in Past Papers:

Periodic Table and Elements: The periodic table, groups, and periods, as well as the properties of elements, are usually asked.

Acids, Bases, and Salts: The properties, reactions, and applications of acids, bases, and salts, such as neutralization, are usually recurring.

Electricity and Magnetism: This chapter is always a source of questions, especially those on Ohm's Law, electric circuits, and electromagnetism.

Human Physiology: Topics like circulatory, respiratory, excretion, and nutrition are often repeated.

Carbon and its Compounds: Questions on carbon compounds such as alkanes, alkenes, and functional groups are common.

Light and Reflection: Laws of reflection, refraction, and lenses are usually included.

Work, Energy, and Power: This is a basic concept in Physics and questions based on the formulae and concepts often occur.

Key chapters you must focus on are:

1. Chapter 1 (Chemistry): Materials—Properties and Uses.

2. Chapter 2 (Physics): Heat and its effects, electricity.

3. Chapter 3 (Biology): Life Processes.

4. Chapter 4 (Chemistry): Structure of Atom and Chemical Reactions.

Frequently Asked Questions with Example of Previous Trends:

Physics:

im registered for hindi medium in up board class10,but i want to give my science and maths in english medium.it is possible? what issue has facing for this?

Manasvini Gupta 28th Aug, 2025

If you are registered in Hindi medium with the UP Board, the UPMSP 10th question papers for Science and Maths will usually be available in both Hindi and English. However, since your official medium is Hindi, you are expected to write answers in Hindi only. Changing the medium is not allowed after registration. So, you can prepare in English and use English question papers for understanding, but in the final UPMSP 10th exam , answers must be in Hindi as per board rules. Also, connect with school authorities to know if any special provisions are available to solve this issue.

Ishita 20th Aug, 2024

No, the syllabuses of UP Board and CBSE are not completely identical.

While there might be overlaps in certain topics and concepts, there are significant differences in terms of:

Depth of Coverage: Some topics might be covered in more detail in one board compared to the other.

Emphasis on Different Areas: The focus on certain subjects or topics can vary between the two boards.

Textbook Content: The textbooks used by the two boards often differ, leading to variations in the presentation of content.

Exam Pattern: The structure and format of question papers can be different.

1. Curriculum Structure and Depth:

  • CBSE: Known for its comprehensive curriculum with a strong emphasis on conceptual understanding.
  • UP Board: Focuses on core subjects with a slightly different depth and breadth compared to CBSE.

2. Language Emphasis:

  • CBSE: Promotes both Hindi and English, offering a wider range of language options.
  • UP Board: Primarily focuses on Hindi with English as a second language.

3. Exam Pattern:

  • CBSE: Has undergone changes in the exam pattern, including objective-type questions and practical assessments.
  • UP Board: Traditionally followed a more subjective exam pattern with a focus on theoretical knowledge

4. Evaluation System:

  • CBSE: Has implemented Continuous and Comprehensive Evaluation (CCE) in the past, with a focus on formative assessment.
  • UP Board: Has a more traditional examination system with annual exams as the primary evaluation method.

5. Focus on Regional Aspects:

  • CBSE: Emphasizes a national perspective with a focus on core subjects.
  • UP Board: Incorporates regional aspects and culture of Uttar Pradesh into the curriculum

If you can specify the books that you are particularly looking into, I can give you the actual difference.

sir I have wrote whole paper with black pen in ssc exams 2024 class 10 .will it affect my marks in exams?

Tanya Gupta 13th Mar, 2024

Hello,

Using a black pen to write your SSC (Class 10) exams in 2024 should not affect your marks as long as your answers are clearly legible and well-presented. Examiners are primarily concerned with the content of your answers rather than the color of the ink used.

Hope this helps,

Thank you
