Ive taken 2 drop years coz I had to leave my coaching(offline) during my first drop year coz covid lockdown and now Im scoring 498 coz I messed up my 2021 paper dont know why my average mocks test marks was around 600 to 590 marks now my age is 21 should i take another drop or do something else

Mghv 2nd Nov, 2021

Dear Student,

I would suggest you to not drop your another year. All you can do is give another try to entrance examination but along with your degree as well. If you scored really well, then you can pursue with the obtained rank in the top institute and in case you don't score well, you can then continue with the degree only.

Hope this helps.

Good Luck :)

piyush263001 31st Oct, 2021

Hello,

JEE Mains and Advanced are the prestigious engineering entrance examination providing admission to the famous government colleges such as IIT's and NIT's. The entrance examination is considered as one of the most difficult examination.

It is very unfortunate that due to health issues you missed out on precious time to prepare for the JEE Mains examination. With hard work and dedication everything is possible. So I would like to tell you to be optimistic and believe in yourself.

Since you are preparing for JEE Mains 2023. So you still have a good amount of time to brace yourself for the Examination.

First clear your backlog topics that you couldn't study due to health issue simultaneously with your current study.

Now, after you are done with completing these topics, start revising the topics of IX. Don't put too much efforts at once, try to reach your daily target and gradually increase the number of hours you study. And you will be back on the track.

Here are few tips for JEE Mains-

• first analyze all the important topics and the most asked topics in the JEE examination and build strong concepts of them.

• Generally inorganic chemistry is asked from NCERT so revise it as many times as possible.

• Practice Previous year questions as many as possible as questions are repeated sometimes based on similar concepts.

• Maximise your studying hours and study according to a time table.
