----------) Discipline is the key to crack UPSC, so you need to make a routine/ time table and follow it .
----------)Read newspaper like the Hindu or Indian Express and magazines like Yojana, Kurukshetra, Economic and Political Weekly to keep yourself updated with the current events and issues.
----------) take short breaks in between your studies, studying continuously can be brain tiring and it becomes difficult to focus and study with concentration, so take breaks to relax and refresh your brain otherwise you won't be able to retain whatever you read.
-----------)Choose your optional subject wisely , choose the subject you have interest in.
----------)Make short notes for each subject, these will be your life saviour and will help you in your revisions a lot as syllabus is wide
----------)Set daily goals like I have to cover these many topics today, weekly goals like I have to cover these chapters this week and practice their questions too, by the end of this week and similarly set monthly goals to cover the syllabus and meet them without any fail.
----------)Revise :- there's no point of preparing for the exam if you couldn't recall anything in the UPSC Examination so you should stress on revision as well.
----------) Your mains examination is in written, so you need to work your speed and also work on improving how to present the knowledge you have on paper, so answer writing practicing should be your priority
----------)Solve previous year question papers and mock test papers ;- You should solve these , it will give you idea of types of questions asked and their difficulty level and will help you a lot.
----------)Also work on your communication skills and personality development as it plays an important role in your interview round.

Hello,
You said that, your coaching center is teaching you another chapters and you want to revice the previous chapters. So according to me, make a schedule of your own as per your own convinince when to revise which chapter like for example if your coaching center is teaching you chapter nine of chemistry and had given you one home task, then ultimately you have to finish it but make a proper schedule by which you can also practice some or few of the questions from chapter seven suppose and then complete the home task of your coaching.
Hope you understand.
Thank you!
Dear aspirant
Almost every coaching conduct test in every 2-3 weeks based on NEET pattern. So you can say almost in every test they take chapter which get over that period of time. So this is almost like chapter wise test based on NEET.
Now if you are asking about 12th board exam chapter wise test so usually students start preparing for that before 3-4 months of board exam and then only they take test based on board exam pattern. These are also conducted by coaching for their students appearing for boards exam.
At least 2-3 months you will get test series on whole syallbus on NEET pattern based. So that you can have practice for upcoming exam.
You can try our neet knock out program,it's very helpful for the students.

Dear Bhumika,
In excel academics, the way in which we teach students ultimately determines the way they will fare in any exam. Hence, they have adopted a result-oriented teaching strategy that is designed to prepare students for both board as well as competitive as well as in one go! There are three main aspects that define this methodology. Overall, it is a good choice to go for NEET long term coaching else you can go to kota. But this one is also a better alternative. So, the choice is yours. Choose wisely.
Hope this helps.
All the Best!!

I must say that it's not a difficult task to prepare for CA exam along with 12th boards as 75% of the syllabus of class 12th sync with the CPT syllabus.
Prepare your Accountancy and Economics concepts strong in school and rest aptitude or mercantile law can be done on the sidelines during weekends. Make sure you have at least read law once before completing 12th.
If you have opted for Maths in class 12th, CPT will be a cakewalk but need not to worry if not opted for Maths. 2 months after 12th board exams will be sufficient enough to prepare for it.
Remember if your Accounts and Economics concepts are strong and you have read Law once before completing board exams, you are 80% prepare.
Rest just practice some mock tests in weekend or whenever you get time.
Keep in mind and prepare your Accountancy and Economics concepts strong in school and rest aptitude or mercantile law can be done on the sidelines during weekends. Make sure you have at least read law once before completing 12th.
If you have opted for Maths in class 12th, CPT will be a cakewalk but need not to worry if not opted for Maths, two months after 12th board exams will be sufficient enough to prepare for it.
You just have to study 3–4 hours daily along with your 12th syllabus as it is more important than CA. The syllabus of CPT examination which is the the qualifying paper for CA has 4 subjects :- Accountancy, mercantile law , economics and mathematics.
If you are a commerce student ,Accountancy, maths , and economics are same as your 11th and 12th accounts ,maths and eco. So in these 3 subjects you have to attain perfection so that no negative marking takes place as you have to score 100 marks out of 200 in CPT alaong with some passing percentage in all 4 subjects respectively. And in mercantile law it is easier to learn it as it contains only article and some company laws which are easy to learn.
If you are science student your area of perfection is maths as it is full of integration, differentiation, matrix etc and mercantile law will be easy for you and only have to work on economics and accountancy which i’m sure you people will do it.Solve the test papers provided by ICAI when you get your package of books.
CA is neither easy nor tuff it just depends on how you prepare for it.
Best of luck.
