Can we attempt the clat exam in 11th class

Sajal Trivedi 22nd Oct, 2025

Hello aspirant,

No, you are not permitted to take the CLAT exam in your eleventh grade year.  Students who have finished or are taking their 12th grade or equivalent exam are eligible to take the Common Law Admission Test, or CLAT.  To build a solid basis for when you are qualified to apply in the 12th grade, you might begin preparing in the 11th grade.

Thank you

If a student is from telangana they can apply for reserved seat. In reservation in clat registration

Prachi Kumari 22nd Oct, 2025

Hello,

Yes, if a student is from Telangana, they can apply for a reserved seat in CLAT only if they belong to a reserved category such as SC, ST, OBC, EWS, or PwD, as per the rules of CLAT and the participating National Law Universities (NLUs).

However, please note:

  • CLAT does not have a separate “Telangana state quota.”

  • Reservation is given based on category , not on the state, except in some NLUs that offer domicile (state) reservation for their own state students.

So, if you are from Telangana, you can:

  • Apply under your category reservation (like SC/ST/OBC/EWS) .

  • And you may get Telangana domicile reservation only in those NLUs that are located in Telangana (for example, NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad ).

Hope it helps !

What is the expected or predicted score in VITLee or CLAT will consider a safe zone for getting in this college

Vanshika Saini 26th Oct, 2025

Hi Dear Candidate!!

For VITEEE (VIT Engineering Admission), a safe zone generally means scoring around 110–120 out of 125 or securing a rank under 25,000 for most B.Tech branches at VIT Vellore. Other campuses like Chennai, Bhopal, or Amaravati may have slightly lower cutoffs, around ranks 25,000–40,000, depending on the branch. Highly competitive branches like Computer Science or Electronics usually require higher scores, while less competitive branches may have slightly lower requirements.

For CLAT (National Law University Admission), a safe score for top NLUs such as NLU Delhi, Bangalore, or Hyderabad is around 140–145 out of 150 for General category students. Mid-tier NLUs usually require scores in the 120–135 range. Keep in mind that category-wise variations and yearly fluctuations in applicants can slightly change the cutoffs, so aiming higher than these predicted scores is always recommended to ensure a seat.

can i know the government collages taking admissions in support to CLAT score. bcoz the NLUs are very costly. plz anyone guide.

Rahul Mandal 27th Sep, 2025

Hello,

While NLUs are costly, you can still pursue government-funded law education through state-funded universities and their affiliated colleges that accept CLAT scores, such as institutes like Banaras Hindu University and Aligarh Muslim University.

I hope it will clear your query!!

Hello sir I am Mantu kr. Sir, is it better to take the CLAT exam after Class 12 or after graduation?

Balabadhruni Phaniraj 22nd Sep, 2025

It is always better to take the CLAT exam right after Class 12 if your goal is to build a career in law, because CLAT UG is specifically designed for admission into integrated five-year law programs like BA LLB, BCom LLB, or BBA LLB. Appearing after Class 12 saves you time, as you complete both graduation and law together in a single course. On the other hand, if you first complete graduation and then plan for law, you will not be eligible for CLAT UG but instead for CLAT PG, which is meant for admission into LLM programs. This path takes longer, because you first spend three or four years on graduation and then add another three years in an LLB program if you choose not to go for an integrated course. So, if you are already sure about pursuing law as your career, writing CLAT right after Class 12 is the smarter and time-saving option, while writing it after graduation makes sense only if you are considering higher studies in law or a shift in career later.

can i get into maharaja agarsen or gitarattan college without clat? If yes then which one will be better?

Aryan 14th Sep, 2025

Hi dear candidate,

Both the colleges Maharaja Agrasen (MAIMS) or Gitarattan (GIBS) are affiliated to IP University and allows admission either by CLAT or IPU CET Law. Without either of these exams, your admission is NOT accepted there. You can try looking for management quota seats in these colleges if you have got good marks in 12th class.
