I scored AIR 733 in PG for LLM I got MNLU (Nagpur) in which I thought I would get Mumbai but they gave me Nagpur can anything be done ?

Subodh Mittal 30th Jun, 2019
Hi Pritika

You have secured very good rank and you have been given a college according to your rank. Your college is decided through your prefrence, your rank and the counselling process.
It cant be changed once you have been given a college.
But it might change in the next counselling round if some students dont take admission in Mumbai Campus.

I am a Government Servant. I would take permission from my Department to pursue the course. How could I secure attendance to be eligible

Anik Das 24th Jun, 2019

Hello Rajesh, normally in these circumstances if you are going for full time 2 year LLM program with on-campus requirements, you would require a sabbatical leave from your department or employer. As per high court ruling, officials can be granted permission to pursue full-time LLB/LLM courses by their superior. So once you get the application granted, you can easily pursue LLM or PhD (Legal) in your desired college. However, if your course is a long distance program, you can very well continue working in your respective office while parallely studying your course as an open student.

Hello mam if anybody got 40 marks in clat PG what and where. One should take admission

Purnima Student Expert 18th Jun, 2019

Hello Priyanka!

The marks mentioned by you in CLAT2019 post graduation are evidently low. With such marks it will be dufficult to get admissiona into any of theNLUs or government law providing colleges. But certainly there are many private colleges that may provide admission at this score. Naming a few:

  • Alliance School of Law ,Banglore
  • The North Cap University, Gurugram
  • SRM University sonepat
  • Raffles University, Neemrana
  • CMR University school of Legal Studies
  • Manipal University
  • Bennet University etc.

These are the reputed ones you should definitely consider. There are other private options apart from the above mentioned ones . Private institutions have so far maintained a goodwill, and have been successful in providing ample number of opportunities to the students.

Hope this helps, All the best!
