With a rank of 54,000 in TS EAMCET and OBC category, you have chances to secure a Computer Science (CS) seat in several private colleges, though it may be challenging for top-tier institutions. Colleges like CMR Institute of Technology, Malla Reddy College, and other mid-tier institutions may have available seats. Your options also depend on whether you are a local candidate and the specific cutoff trends for 2024.

i want to know which course is better CS or Computer Engineering

Tanya Gupta 11th Jun, 2024

Hello,

Choosing between Computer Science (CS) and Computer Engineering (CE) depends on your interests and career goals. Computer Science focuses more on software, algorithms, and programming, making it ideal if you're interested in areas such as software development, data science, artificial intelligence, and cybersecurity.

It emphasizes theoretical foundations and practical applications of computing. On the other hand, Computer Engineering blends both hardware and software aspects, including the design and development of computer systems, embedded systems, and hardware-software integration.

Hope this helps,

Thank you

I got 76.6 percentile with st catagory rank 5793, Can i get cs in ycce nagpur or ramdeobaba college nagpur ?

Hridaya Rao 27th Sep, 2024

With a 76.6 percentile and an ST category rank of 5793, you may have a chance of getting Computer Science in YCCE Nagpur or Ramdeobaba College, but it largely depends on the specific cutoffs for these institutions and the overall demand for CS seats during the admission process.

1. YCCE Nagpur: The cutoff for CS may vary each year, but typically, it can be competitive. You should check the previous year's cutoff trends to gauge your chances.

2. Ramdeobaba College: Similar to YCCE, this college also has fluctuating cutoffs based on demand and availability.

It's best to keep an eye on the official admission announcements and reach out to the colleges for the most accurate information regarding seat availability and cutoffs. You might also want to consider applying to other colleges as a backup option.

can i get cs in cv raman university with 2207 rank in cget phase 2

Akansha Sharma 16th Nov, 2024

With a 2207 rank in CGU CGET Phase 2, your chances of getting a Computer Science (CS) seat at CV Raman University depend on seat availability and the cutoff for CS in your category. CS is typically a competitive branch, and if your rank falls within the previous cutoff range, you have a good chance. However, if CS seats are filled, you might have to consider other branches. It's advisable to participate in counseling and check real-time updates for clarity.

i had got 62194 rank in kcet can i get btech in cs in top college

kumardurgesh1802 2nd Sep, 2024

Hello there,

With a KCET rank of 62,194, getting admission to a top college for B.Tech in Computer Science may be challenging. However, you might still have options in some of the lesser-known or newer engineering colleges in Karnataka.

Possible Options:

  1. Newer or Lesser-Known Engineering Colleges:

Colleges: Look into newer or less popular engineering colleges that still offer a B.Tech in Computer Science. These colleges might have more flexibility in their admission cutoffs.

  2. Private Engineering Colleges:

Examples: Private institutions might have varying cutoffs and could offer you a chance to pursue B.Tech in Computer Science. Some examples include:

    • JSS Academy of Technical Education, Bangalore
    • R.V. College of Engineering, Bangalore (for lower branches)
    • PES University, Bangalore (for certain branches)

  3. Consider Alternate Branches:

If you're open to other branches within engineering, you might have better chances of getting into a more established college.

which is better, cs in shiv nadar university noida or mit manipal

Akansha Sharma 15th Nov, 2024

Both Shiv Nadar University (SNU) and MIT Manipal are excellent for Computer Science (CS), but they cater to different preferences. SNU Noida offers a strong research focus, modern facilities, and an interdisciplinary approach. It’s better if you aim for innovation and projects. MIT Manipal is well-established with strong industry connections, experienced faculty, and better placement opportunities in core CS fields. If you value legacy and placements, choose MIT. For research and innovation, SNU is preferable. Your priorities decide the fit.

To secure admission in a B.Tech program in Computer Science, you need to qualify for an entrance examination. The Joint  Entrance Examination (JEE) is a national-level exam, while many states also conduct state-level entrance exams, such as MHT-CET, AP EAMCET, TS EAMCET, WBJEE, and others . After qualifying for these exams, you can gain admission to a B.Tech degree program through the counseling process.
