CPL
Hello,
The validity of Student Pilot Licence (SPL) is 5 years.Within these five years you need to apply for Private Pilot Licence(PPL) and Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL).Once you can afford to get your PPL And CPL you can do it but that should be done within 5 years.
Now that you have your Commercial Pilot License, you need experience in terms of flight hours. But landing with a job into a big airlines is quite difficult as a fresher, since all the big companies ask for experienced pilots. Now what you can do is you can apply to small and medium sized companies and work for them and gain some experience. Targeting small and medium sized companies do hire freshers and can help you land a job there. After around 250 flight hours, you can apply to well renowned big companies and get selected as well.
After selection to any of the companies, first you need to work as a Co-Pilot or FO and then you will be promoted after more experience.
I wish you all the best for your future endeavours.

hi,
see after completing your pilot training you need to clear dgca exam to get commercial pilot license.
now you need to work really hard to clear the exam, its depends on you whether you have real passion for it or not. now that you know that there is a lot of money will be invested for your study and at the end if you lost interest it will be wastage of time and money. so think again and again before taking any decision. see we can earn money in different ways and academic background. so a person should chase his dream if he has real interest for it.
Hello Srija,
Yes, after 10th you can join any good polytechnic college and do your diploma for 3 years. Engineering is a 4 year course but you will get 1 year relaxation if you are a diploma to degree student.
To get a CPL license first you need to get the SPL license.
SPL stands for Student Pilot License. It is the first step towards achieving your dream of obtaining Commercial or Private Pilot License! If you are interested in flying aircraft, you must apply for SPL.
While pursuing B.E/B.tech, you can surly join an aviation school and start with your flying. Both can be done simultaneously if you can manage both of them together. One can fly on weekends and attend the college during weekdays. You can pause your flying whenever you want to (during B.tech exams).
I would recommend that you should study for CPL exams before starting the flying as it would provide you more knowledge during practical training. Moreover you should be free from your exams before your flying completes.
I hope this helps you out.
Hi Kanhu,
I understand that you are interested in applying for a pilot job in Indian navy and that you do not possess a commercial pilot licence for the same and so to answer your question please be informed that a commercial pilot licence is a preliminary necessity for applying for a pilot job in the Indian navy you can apply for training as a pilot by appearing in one of the entrance examinations for induction into the Indian navy as a pilot such exam is combined defence service examination which is conducted every year but a commercial pilot licence is a prerequisite and is mandatory for applying as a pilot in the Indian navy.
BEST WISHES!
if your dream is to be a pilot you should go after 10+2 for cpl courses or take admission in fly trying school. there is no use of doing b.tech and then after four years of study go for fly training school. if you want to do graduation and then fly training then you should choose bsc in aviation as it will help you understand the aircraft maintenance and aviation basics during the pilot training course.
see there is no need to do engineering of you want to become a pilot. Its a myth that doing engineering will be extra advances for become a pilot. to get a job after engineering you need to be master on that particular subject. and there is no advantages if you go fly training school after graduation. you may join the fly training school after you complete your 10+2 exam.
hello,
if you really want to become pilot there is no need to go for b.tech degree. you can join fly training school right after your 10+2 score. some school have their own entrance test for hire candidates. also you need to clear the medical fitness test. I have mentioned some school name which offer pilot training.
