I have a paper back in semester 5 of delhi University exams. How will it reflect on my marksheet and degree? What would be the passing year in the marksheet and the degree?

Tanya Gupta 20th Jan, 2024

Hello,

You will get your our degree will once you successfully pass all the exams, including clearing any backlogs. You will have to give the back paper next year but your passing year will remain the same. You will have a * in your marksheet only which will indicate that you had a back. Universities and institutes have provisions for retaking exams to help students clear their backlog subjects.

Hope this helps you,

Thank you

Question : Directions: Select the word pair that best represents a similar relationship to the one expressed in the given pair of words.
(The words must be considered meaningful English words and must not be related to each other based on the number of letters/number of consonants/vowels in the word.)
Tailor : Sewing machine

Option 1: Electrician : Expensive

Option 2: Farmer : Plants

Option 3: Scissors : Hair

Option 4: Police : Handcuffs

Team Careers360 25th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: Police : Handcuffs

Solution : Given:
Tailor : Sewing machine (This shows the relationship between the person and the tool used in his profession.)

Let's check the options –

Second option: Farmers: Plants; Farmers use planting tools.

Question : Select the most appropriate active form of the given sentence.

How many members were informed about the meeting in time?

Option 1: How many meetings did you inform about the members in time?

Option 2: How many members did you inform about the meeting in time?

Option 3: How many members have you informed about the meeting in time?

Option 4: How many members could you inform about the meeting in time?

Team Careers360 17th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: How many members did you inform about the meeting in time?

Solution : The correct choice is the second option.

The given sentence is in the passive voice. In the active-passive transformation, except for (who and whom), the rest of the Wh-family pronouns will remain unchanged. Thus, the given question word "how" will remain unchanged.

The structure of the sentence in the active voice is, "How + adjective + subject + auxiliary verb in the past tense + base form of the verb + object + prepositional phrase?"

Therefore, the correct sentence is: How many members did you inform about the meeting in time?

Question : Fill in the blank with the most suitable word.
At that time, I only knew that I adored the way he laughed for no______.

Option 1: just

Option 2: disbelief

Option 3: reason

Option 4: account

Team Careers360 8th Jan, 2024

Correct Answer: reason

Solution : The correct choice is the third option.

The most suitable word to fill in the blank is reason.

In this context, "for no reason" means without a specific cause or explanation. The sentence conveys that the person didn't understand why the laughter occurred; it was spontaneous and not triggered by any discernible cause.

The meanings of the other options are as follows:

Just: While "for no just" might make sense grammatically, it doesn't convey the intended meaning in the context of the sentence.

Disbelief: This doesn't fit the context because the sentence is describing adoration for the way he laughed, not expressing doubt or disbelief.

Account: "For no account" doesn't convey the same sense of spontaneity or lack of a specific cause as the phrase "for no reason" does.

Therefore, the most suitable word is reason as it fits seamlessly into the sentence and maintains the intended meaning.
