Both the college's are good and have good rankings. Let me give you the rankings and average pay for both the College's so that, itt might be easier for you to either choose between the two or go for other option.

Mentioned below are the rankings of both the college's.

•Welingkar Institute of Management was ranked 6th Position amongst top 75 Management Institutes nationally by NIRF 2020.

•Highest Salary pay is 18Lacs Per annum.

Average pay is: 8.61 lacs per annum.

• Whereas Symbiosis Institute of Management has been ranked 22nd by NIRF in category of Best B schools 2020.

•High Salary pay: 34.26 Lacs per annum.

Average pay is 20.14 Lacs per annum.

According to my research, what I have come across that Welingkar is better than Symbiosis, but both are leading ones.

The other options are:

1) National Institute of Health and Family Welfare : Offers Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital Management.

Qualification is that only person who are medical graduates including MBBS/AYUSH/BDS can apply.

Eligibilty : Applicant must be registered with respective medical council with experience of 5 yrs after graduation. u

Course Fee: 21,000.

2) Goa Institute of Management(GIM) : offers Post Graduate Diploma in Health Care Management.

Duration: 2 year.

Eligibilty: Applicant must have cleared the entrance exam and is a graduate in Healthcare discipline.

Fees: 17.21 lacs.

3) Christian Medical College: Offers Post Graduate Diploma in Healthcare Management.

Duration of the course is 2 years.

Eligibilty: Applicant must be a Bsc graduate with aggregate of 50% marks in concerned subject .

And must have cleared the entrance Exam like GMAT/CMAT/XAT/CAT etc.

4) IGNOU offers Post Graduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management.

Duration of Course- is 3 years.

Eligibilty is : the applicant must bhave a graduate degree in Science field.

Fee: 11,000.

5) Acharya Nagarjuna University offers Post Graduate Diploma in HealthCare Management.

Duration of the course is 1 yr.

Eligibilty: the Applicant must have a Bachelors d egree.

Sorry to say but the harsh reality is no matter how good the college is there is no surety of getting placement or internship for distance students.

The students do get the comfortability of not going to classes regularly and just going to give the exams. But it comes at a cost like these that results in minimum chance of getting an internship.

Due to this CovID-19 , every college is conducting it's admission as well as classes online. So I think it won't be a problem for you. For now the distance as well as the regular course will just feel the same.

Will suggest you to go for normal college and not distance course.

IGNOU is a government accredited distance education university and is a trusted organization. The degree from IGNOU are valid in all over India as well as foreign countries. However,  the scope after graduation from IGNOU is limited as compared to graduation in regular mode. Also, you might be asked for a consent from American Psychological Association or any other recognized psychological organization to ensure your degree.

And Delhi university also offers MA in psycholoy- 2years in regular mode. Check it here:

The eligibility criteria of IIFT are

• Candidates should have completed their graduation in any discipline from a recognized institution or university.
• General/ OBC/ EWS candidates should have obtained at least 50% marks in graduation while ST/ SC/ PwD candidates need to have a score of minimum 45% marks.
• Final year graduation students are also eligible to apply for IIFT

So, if you have done your distance graduation from any recognized University then only you can appear for IIFT.
