in jee paper 2 what is time period for drawing and online objective questions?

Mayank Sinha 31st Dec, 2019
Hello there,

There is no division between times for drawing and solving sections.
A Total of three hours are provided to the candidate in which the candidate can take time according to his will and convinience in both segments.
Hope you find this helpful

The NID DAT 2020 BDes entrance was supposed to be 3 hours for both GAT and Drawing section, but in my centre in Bangalore the examiners did not give the drawing section until after 50 minutes. This meant that we only 130 minutes for drawing. Unfair! How was it in other centres??

Gayu 30th Dec, 2019

Thanks Harish, However, what you are saying is true for MDes only (which is 150 minutes paper). My query was related to BDes which is 180 minutes paper. As far as I know there is no such notification for BDes exam. It seems unfair to all the students who were not allowed the full 3 hours for both sections.

Is Drawing exam in Jee Paper 2 easy or tough for a person who is weak in drawing?

Mahima Shukla 19th Dec, 2019

Hii,

The drawing exam in JEE MAINS is neither too tough not to easy.

The syllabus for JEE MAINS paper 2 involves:

Three dimensional – perception: Understanding and appreciation of scale and proportion of objects, building forms, and elements.

Color texture, harmony, and contrast.

Design and drawing of geometrical or abstract shapes and patterns in pencil.

Transformation of forms both 2 D and 3 D union, subtraction, rotation, development of surfaces and volumes, Generation of Plan, elevations and 3 D views of objects.

Creating two dimensional and three-dimensional compositions using given shapes and forms.

Sketching of scenes and activities from memory, landscape.

Even if you are not good at drawing it won't affect you that much because the drawing involves your imagination and since there are more topics related to geometry, therefore you can use scales of different shapes and your creativity will do the rest. All you have to do is to be creative and put it down on the paper. Just go through the syllabus and get some ideas on how and what to do, then you can easily clear paper 2 of JEE MAINS.

Hope this helps.

All the best!
