i have taken pcm with physical education but i wanted to give neet exam. Am i eligible to give neet? My friend told me that i had to take pcm and biotech as additional subject then i can give neet, is it true ??

Ishita 6th Aug, 2024

Hello Aspirant

The eligibility criteria for applying for NEET is that the candidate must have completed or must be appearing for their 12th grade Board exam with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as their core papers. They must have passed their 12th from a UGC-recognized Board of Examination.

The candidate must have secured 50% in 12th (for the General Category), 45% for PWD candidates, and 40% aggregate for OBC/SC/ST category students.

So yes, your friend was right in pointing out that you would need Biology/Biotechnology as your subject in 12th, these subjects as your additional subjects would also work, in order for you to appear for NEET.

Hope this helps

If improvement exam is given in year 2020 after doing 12th standard by Punjab School Education Board in year 2018, will there be any change in our previous passed year?

Prachi Kumari 30th Aug, 2024

Hello,

If you take an improvement exam after passing your 12th standard exams conducted by the Punjab School Education Board (PSEB), the following generally applies:

1. Improvement Exam Results: The result of the improvement exam will replace your previous marks in the subjects you took for improvement. This means the new scores will be considered for academic and admission purposes.

2. Previous Results: Your previous marksheets will not change; however, the new marks will be reflected in a new marksheet or certificate issued after the improvement exam results are declared.

3. Official Records: Your academic record with the updated scores will be considered official for purposes like further education or job applications.

Always check with the PSEB or the institution where you are applying for the exact procedure and how they handle improvement exam results.

Hope it helps!
