Swayam 27th Apr, 2025

A three-year BA in Mass Communication and Journalism is offered by YMCA Faridabad (J.C. Bose University).  Their course list does not mention a Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed).  BA program admission is typically based on merit and involves a 10+2 grade of 45–50%.  Confirm course availability directly through the university's contact details and check jcboseust.ac.in for application deadlines, likely April or June. Seek alternative schools which have B.P.Ed. degrees in physical education.

Sir, I am studying under the sunrise university alwar, Rajasthan. Is this university valid or not? Can i go to abroad for higher education and employment?

Mayumi DAS 27th Apr, 2025

Sunrise University is a private university located in Alwar, Rajasthan, India. While it's recognized by the University Grants Commission (UGC), some concerns have been raised about the university's credibility and quality of education.

If you're planning to pursue higher education or employment abroad, the validity of your degree might be scrutinized. Some foreign universities and employers might not recognize degrees from certain Indian institutions, including Sunrise University.

To ensure a smooth transition, consider the following:

- Verify Accreditation: Confirm Sunrise University's accreditation status with the UGC and other relevant authorities.

- Check International Recognition: Research whether your desired foreign universities and employers recognize degrees from Sunrise University.

- Evaluate Program Quality: Assess the quality of your program and its relevance to your future goals.

It's essential to weigh these factors and consider potential implications for your future plans.

I am studying in class 12 BOSSE Board (Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education) this year my results will come in june 2025. am i eligible for COMEDK and KCET. however the BOSSE board is Approved by AIU but i dont know regulations of KCET and COMEDK. I am very scared pls help

Mayumi DAS 24th Apr, 2025

Thanks for explaining clearly — and I totally understand your fear, but let’s break this down calmly so you know exactly where you stand.

You're Studying in Class 12 under BOSSE Board (Board of Open Schooling and Skill Education)

  • Result expected: June 2025

  • BOSSE is approved by AIU (Association of Indian Universities), which is a positive sign .

Now let’s look at eligibility for both:

1. COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka)

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam from a recognized board .

  • Recognized = State board / CBSE / ICSE / NIOS / any AIU-recognized board .

  • Must have Physics, Mathematics, and Chemistry/Biology/Computer Science/Electronics as subjects.

  • Must score at least 45% marks (40% for SC/ST/OBC in Karnataka) .

Conclusion for COMEDK: YES – You are eligible , because BOSSE is recognized by AIU, which COMEDK accepts.

2. KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test)

This is more state-specific and slightly stricter.

Eligibility Criteria:

  • Must have passed 2nd PUC (Pre-University) or equivalent from a recognized Board under the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka .

  • Open schooling boards like **NIOS or other open boards are usually not accepted unless explicitly listed.

  • Even if AIU approves a board, KCET may not accept open school boards like BOSSE unless Karnataka's PUE department recognizes it .

Conclusion for KCET: As of now, you are likely not eligible for KCET with BOSSE, unless the Karnataka PUE Department has specifically included BOSSE in its accepted list. They usually don’t accept NIOS or other open boards either.

What You Should Do Immediately

  • Write to KEA (Karnataka Examinations Authority) to ask whether BOSSE is accepted for KCET.

Email: keauthority-ka@nic.in (mailto:keauthority-ka@nic.in)

Subject: Clarification on BOSSE Board Eligibility for KCET 2025

I can help you draft this email if you want.

  • Apply for COMEDK when registration opens — you’re eligible .

  • Consider other options like CUET, private university entrance exams, or state-level exams where AIU recognition is accepted.

Don't Panic — You're Not Alone

Many students from open boards like BOSSE, NIOS, etc. go through this confusion every year. The key is to focus on the entrance exams where your board is accepted , and to verify officially with those that aren’t clear.

My wife and I both belong to Rajasthan I came abroad as bachler and my wife also came here after marriage, my daughter was born in rajasthan but later came to Oman she did her complete education here only can i get seats in Rajasthan state quota for her in MBBS

Aman Kar 22nd Apr, 2025

Based on the Data you provided it’s highly unlikely that your daughter would be eligible for the Rajasthan state quota for MBBS admission. Here’s why:

General Domicile Rules for State Medical Colleges in India:

  • Residence Requirement: The most common criterion for claiming state domicile is that the candidate (or their parents) must be a bonafide resident of the state for a specified number of years (usually 10 years or more). This often needs to be continuous.
  • Education Requirement: Some states also consider candidates who have completed their Class 11th and 12th (or equivalent) education from a recognized institution within the state.
  • Parental Domicile: In many cases, if the parents are domiciled in a particular state, the child can also claim domicile in that state. However, this often requires the parents to be currently residing in the state.

Specific Rules for Rajasthan (Likely):

While the exact domicile rules for Rajasthan MBBS admissions for the 2025 academic year would be detailed in the official admission brochure released by the Directorate of Medical Education (DME), Rajasthan, they typically align with the general principles mentioned above. It's highly probable that Rajasthan's rules would require:

  • Continuous residence of the candidate or their parents in Rajasthan for a significant period.
  • Completion of the qualifying higher secondary education (Class 11th and 12th) from a recognized school in Rajasthan.

Why your daughter is likely ineligible:

  • She has not studied in Rajasthan.
  • Her parents are currently residing outside India.

What you can do:

  1. Wait for the Official Admission Brochure: The most crucial step is to carefully read the official NEET UG 2025 admission brochure released by the DME, Rajasthan. This will contain the exact eligibility criteria and domicile rules for state quota seats. Keep an eye on the official websites of the Department of Medical Education, Rajasthan, and the Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) for updates.
  2. Check for NRI/OCI Quota: Explore if there are any specific quotas for Non-Resident Indians (NRIs) or Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs) in Rajasthan's medical colleges. If such a quota exists, your daughter might be eligible under that category, although the fees and requirements would likely be different from the state quota.
  3. All India Quota: Your daughter will be eligible to apply for the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats in all government medical colleges across India, including those in Rajasthan, based on her NEET UG rank. The domicile of the candidate does not matter for AIQ seats.
  4. Private Medical Colleges: Look into the admission criteria for private medical colleges in Rajasthan. Their domicile rules might be less stringent, or they might have a separate NRI/OCI quota.

Hope This Helps!
