BE electrical and electronics engineering is best for future?

manisha.gupta 11th Mar, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

In EEE branch, You have to study Electrical as well as Electronics. It is the study and application of electrical systems for use in different environments and contains basic electronic courses and more power system.

ECE: It deals with Electronics with some part of communication. The subject uses the scientific knowledge of the behaviour and effects of electrons to develop devices, systems, or equipment that uses electricity as part of its driving force.

The Scope

EEE: In EEE the competition is not very tough and the availability of jobs too are good. Electrical graduates are employed in Electricity Boards/Utility companies responsible for installation, maintenance, operation of power handling equipment and systems.

ECE: In ECE, the scope to land into government jobs is great. An electronics engineer can find a job in Central Government, State Governments and their sponsored corporations, private industries dealing in manufacture, sales and services of electronics consumer goods and appliances.

Good Luck!

I am an BE student with electrical and electronics engineering, now i want to do an MBA which stream in mba will be the best according current situation????plz suggest me anyone

rehan18alam Student Expert 25th Feb, 2020

Dear aspirant,

Branches in MBA and not like date off BTech. In MBA 1st year is same for all the branches and in second year you have choice ranging from finance to marketing to operations to HR. Candidates with work experience and their interest and where they want to go in their career choose any of these branches and if they are not sure about what do you want to do post your MBA they do a general MBA. However if you want any specific answer then finance is a good choice as it deals largely with numbers and calculations and engineers are presumed to have good mathematics background and therefore they tend to choose finance.

Hope this helps. Thank you.

My Gate score is 383, Marks 36, CGPA 8.3 Electrical and Electronics Engineering. I paid & did your GATE predictor and the report shows a chance to get at NIT Surathkal, and it shows last year cutoff as 367. Your website and CCMT website shows the last year cutoff is far high. which one is correct?

manisha.gupta 26th Mar, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

GATE college predictor shows the prediction as per the previous year NSR mop Up round. You can also check round wise cutoff with the option 'View Cutoff' given below of each institute except IIT, they never provide round wise cutoff.

Predictor is showing you the cutoff as per 2019 which You cannot find cutoffs even on official website of CCMT-
https://ccmt.nic.in/ccmtregistration/root/orcr.aspx
Here only 2018 is latest available.

PLEASE HELP- Ill be getting around 25k (97.9 percentile in jan mains)... and Im thinking of entering a good NIT with Civil... How much probability is that Ill be getting upgraded to mechanical or EEE in second year?

MD Neshat Faizy 21st Mar, 2020
Hello Kaushlendra Singh Rathore, it totally depend upon how you score in First year, but you will not be the single student who will try for branch, there are many students who take top NIT and try for branch change so the journey will not be too easy, but as you think to Upgrade to ECE or Mechanical it will not be also too hard as most students try in Computer science and Information Technology. But it totally depend upon your working capacity and the college which you have chosen as some college increases much seat in 2nd year while some very less seats.
