Hello Aspirant
Admission into an Engineering college requires you to have Science (Physics, Chemistry, Math, Biology is not required) in your 11th and 12th grades. Seeing you had all these subjects in your school, you are eligible to appear for the JEE exam. You just make sure you scored 50%+ in your 12th grade, that is one of the eligibility criteria. They don't mind that Math was your 5th or 6th subject, they just need Math in your core papers.
Getting admission to a good Engineering college depends on the score you get in the JEE Mains and JEE Advance exams.

Question : Directions: The bar graph below shows the percentage distribution of a company's total expenditures under various expense heads during 2013. Study the graph and answer the given question. If the expenditure on the advertisement is Rs. 2.10 crores, then the difference between the expenditures on transport and taxes is:
Option 1: Rs. 25 lakhs
Option 2: Rs. 35 lakhs
Option 3: Rs. 65 lakhs
Option 4: Rs. 95 lakhs
Correct Answer: Rs. 35 lakhs
Solution : Let the total expenditure be Rs. $100x$. According to the question, Interest on Advertisement = 15% $\frac{15}{100} \times 100x = 21000000$ $⇒15x=21000000$ $⇒x=14,00,000$ Total expenditure = 14,00,00,000 Expenditure on taxes = 10% = $\frac{10}{100} \times 14,00,00,000$ = 1,40,00,000 Expenditure on transport = $\frac{12.5}{100} \times 14,00,000$ = 1,75,00,000 Required difference = 1,75,00,000 – 1,40,00,000 = Rs. 35,00,000 Hence, the correct answer is Rs. 35 lakhs.
Question : Directions: In the given question, select the related code from the given alternatives. DCBA : WXYZ :: IJKL : ?
Option 1: RQPO
Option 2: QPON
Option 3: PONM
Option 4: SRQP
Correct Answer: RQPO
Solution : Given: DCBA : WXYZ :: IJKL : ?
Here, each letter is coded with equivalent opposite letters of the word. Like, DCBA : WXYZ – The opposite letter pairs are D→W, C→X, B→Y, A→Z Similarly, follow the same pattern for IJKL – The opposite letter pairs are I→R, J→Q, K→P, L→O
So, IJKL is related to RQPO. Hence, the first option is correct.
