I want to do M.A. with English from External. How can I apply and what will be the fees and center? What is the value and reputation of HNGU? If I do M.A. from external, will I get any trouble compared to a regular student in marks?

kumardurgesh1802 27th Jan, 2025

Hello there,

Here’s a detailed answer to your questions about pursuing an M.A. in English through external mode from HNGU (Hemchandracharya North Gujarat University) :

1. How to Apply :

  • Eligibility : You must hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university.

  • Application Process :

    • Visit the official HNGU website: https://www.ngu.ac.in .
    • Look for notifications regarding external admissions for M.A. programs.
    • Register online by filling in personal and academic details.
    • Pay the required application fee online and submit the application.

  • Documents Required :

    • Scanned copies of your graduation mark sheet.
    • Passport-size photograph and signature.
    • Proof of identity (Aadhar card, etc.).

      2. Fees and Exam Centers :

  • Fees : The fees for external M.A. programs are typically lower than regular programs. Expect it to be around Rs. 3,000–5,000 per year , depending on the syllabus and examination fees.

  • Examination Centers : HNGU assigns centers for external students in affiliated colleges across Gujarat. The exact center will be mentioned in your hall ticket.3.

Value and Reputation of HNGU :

  • Reputation :

    • HNGU is a recognized and accredited university in Gujarat, offering a wide range of programs.

    • It is well-regarded for its external programs, especially among working professionals and students unable to attend regular classes.

  • Value of Degree : A degree from HNGU is valid and recognized for jobs, further studies, and competitive exams, as it is a UGC-recognized institution.

    4. Comparison of External vs. Regular M.A. :

  • Marks/Grading :

    • The syllabus and exam difficulty level are the same for external and regular students.

    • External students often face no grading bias, but the lack of classroom interactions may affect conceptual understanding.

  • Opportunities : For jobs or further studies, there is no major disadvantage as long as you perform well and meet eligibility criteria.

    Tips for Success:

  • Stay consistent with self-study since external programs rely on independent learning.

  • Use resources like online lectures, reference books, and group discussions to improve your understanding.

  • Ensure you score well in exams to avoid bias during competitive selections.

If you’re disciplined and proactive, pursuing M.A. through external mode can be as rewarding as regular programs.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

Thank you and wishing you all the best for your bright future.

Can I pursue BBA? After my 12th with subjects Chemistry, biology, psychology, Bengali and English. If yes, what should I do and how? If no, what other Courses should I go for. As I dont have physics its hard without neet and jee and I dont know much what to do.

Tanya Gupta 23rd Jan, 2025

Yes, you can pursue a BBA (Bachelor of Business Administration) after your 12th, even with subjects like Chemistry, Biology, Psychology, Bengali, and English. BBA does not require Physics or Mathematics as compulsory subjects. To get started, research universities or colleges offering BBA programs and their eligibility criteria, which usually require passing 12th with a minimum percentage. Some institutes may conduct entrance exams, while others offer direct admission. A BBA prepares you for careers in management, marketing, finance, or entrepreneurship and opens pathways for an MBA later.

If not BBA, you can explore courses like Psychology (B.A./B.Sc.), Biotechnology, Microbiology, BCA (if interested in computers), or design and arts-related fields. Assess your interests and long-term goals to choose the right path.

i give 12th board exam in hindi medium so can i apply for cuet in english medium? with humanity stream

Tanya Gupta 21st Jan, 2025

Yes, you can apply for the Common University Entrance Test (CUET) in English medium even if you completed your 12th in Hindi medium. CUET allows candidates to choose their preferred language for the exam, so you can select English as the medium. However, ensure you are comfortable with the English language, especially for subjects like Humanities, as the questions will be in English. Prepare thoroughly by practicing English comprehension and vocabulary. You can also refer to bilingual study materials if needed. Your medium of instruction in school does not restrict your choice of exam language for CUET.
