Hi Aspirant,
The average package which you'll get after executive mba from a top college will be around 18-20lpa.
Considering that you have already got a package of 16lpa, the return's not welcoming at all.
However,if you genuinely want to do it,you should definitely go for it.
Hope this helps.

What is the scope of an Executive MBA in India? which college offer such courses and what are the advantages of doing this course?

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 10th Dec, 2018

Dear Deepika, The one year Executive MBA in India typically has students with four to seven years of experience. It is often assumed that those several years of experience will translate to a better job after Executive MBA. That assumption holds true only for those who want to go back to the sector they came from and does not hold true if they wish to switch to a different sector that does not clearly value their experience. EMBA is aimed at experienced and senior professionals who want to continue to work full time while pursuing a degree. There are many colleges that provide this course. However, it is advisable to pick a college in the place of your workplace.

I have come across executive MBA pgrm so many times. Its duration is 1 yr,I suppose. hows it different from 2 yr MBA.which is better

peri.laxmi Expert 17th Nov, 2017
Executive MBA is a Master of Business Administration that specifically targets corporate executives and managers. Since they already come with industry experience of 10-15 years the programme is usually for 1 year, regular or part time.

A regular MBA is a a PG programme which is open to fresh graduates or graduates with just an year or two of experience and hence is a proper PG programme of 2 years.

The programme structure too differs. While an MBA tends to concentrate more on specific areas of business like Finance, Marketing etc., an EMBA covers business studies from a strategic perspective.

What's the difference between executive MBA and MBA ?

Akshay Kadam 6th Dec, 2017
Full time MBA programme is generally for the students who have recently completed their graduation or have a work experience of 0-3/4 years. There is no restrictions on a student having a work experience of 4+ years but it won't be very helpful because you will definitely be able to gain knowledge but at the time of internship and final placements companies don't prefer with high work experience students. In any b-school 2 years work experience is ideal for doing a 2 year full time MBA programme.

Whereas executive MBA is a 1 year programme especially for those who have a very high work experience. This is many times even funded by companies itself so as to get their employee more management knowledge. Anyway it's not necessary as most of the people who are looking forward to change their domain after working for a long time in some other field opt for this executive MBA program.

Both the program's selection procedure and fees according to each college is almost same. Difference is in duration of program, Full time MBA in 2 years and executive MBA in 1 year. Also there is  difference in curriculum as executive MBA is more focussed on practical industrial knowledge.

All the best!!
